Overview of the Role
We are currently hiring for an experienced Associate to work in the Equity Capital Markets Syndicate team in Asia. ECM Syndicate serves as the nexus between Investment Banking and Sales & Trading and comprises of traditional market coverage and underwriting groups, as well as a number of product groups focused on providing customized capital structure solutions for our clients. Your primary responsibility would be to work with and support the team executing a range of equity products. You would work with clients on complex, innovative financing and risk management solutions in a fast-paced environment.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Providing support on execution of various types of offerings such as IPOs, capital increases and sell downs of shares.
Liaising with equity sales, research and trading to discuss sector and stock specific trends and investor feedback.
Frequent interaction with our broader ECM and banking teams.
Establishing and maintaining an investor dialogue + sourcing block opportunities
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree from a leading university.
Fluency in English
Prior experience executing Equity transactions would be beneficial.
Strong interest in the financial markets.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential and the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities.
A positive, highly motivated individual who exhibits strong leadership and management qualities.
Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment.
Comfortable working closely with senior team members in a fast-paced environment.
SAC China Securities Industry License is a must (or be able to acquire such license in short term).
Global Corporate Banking - Vice President – Beijing
Key Responsibilities covered by these areas:
Build and develop Treasurer and up to CFO level coverage of Corporate Bank selected clients in China
Play the role as the lead banker, spearheading all marketing efforts and coordination in efforts to be the leading trusted partner of our clients
Responsible for marketing in-scope Corporate Banking products (including: traditional credit product, wholesale payments/cash management, trade services and finance, markets, FX & derivatives, commodities, structured / project finance and debt Capital Markets).
In partnership with the GCB Client Executive, you will be expected to drive account planning processes for Corporate Bank selected clients. Particularly focusing on the use of credit capital and balancing the firm wide priorities. Also, Development of forward looking account plans to up-tier the business relationships
Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that can be met with JPMorgan's broad array of corporate banking products across debt capital markets, risk management, treasury and securities services and asset management: Conversion of client analysis into concrete financial solutions
P&L responsibilities over the client segment portfolio. Objective is to grow both its flow and episodic agenda.
Your Background:
Client Relationship manager with proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win new business, close transactions and develop networks, both internally and externally
Must be able to demonstrate Credit knowledge, preferably have either been in credit or debt capital markets
Solid knowledge of commercial banking products
Strong commercial judgment
Understanding of flow derivatives, FX, commodities, transaction banking and securities processing would be very helpful.
Strong influencing skills and proven track record of managing cross cultural environments
Strong partnership skills
Languages:
The ability to read and speak English and Chinese is a prerequisite
Global Corporate Banking – Executive Director – Shanghai
Job Description
As an integral member of the Global Corporate Bank (GCB) team, the incumbent will assume the business development & relationship management role for the China local corporate portfolio, across diverse industry sectors. Working closely with Investment Banking Coverage, various product & Credit partners, the incumbent will maximize the firm-wide revenues through cross-selling and achieve target returns for the bank.
Main Responsibilities:
To manage client portfolio; acquire and develop new client relationships in addition to managing existing relationships and deepening the client wallet
Accountable to formulate and implement the account plans for the client portfolio working closely with product partners with a cross-sell strategy
Partner with Client Credit Management for all credit related needs and facilitate approvals from various internal Governance and Control committees
Demonstrated experience with converting client analysis into concrete financial solutions. Incumbent is expected to conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that can be met with JPMorgan's broad array of corporate banking products across debt capital markets, risk management, treasury and securities services and asset management.
Your Background:
Min –10 - 12 years of relevant working experience in Corporate Banking, DCM and/or Corporate / Leveraged Finance roles
Solid knowledge of flow derivatives, FX, commodities, transaction banking and securities processing
Strong organizational skills
Credit trained and experience with structuring & execution of leveraged loans, i.e. to support M&A, IPOs, etc.
Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English, and Mandarin
Recognized university degree
