Today - May 9 人类首次飞越北极

May 9, 1926
American naval aviators Richard E. Byrd and Floyd Bennett (co-pilot) flew over the North Pole for the first time in history.

Three years later, on November 29, 1929, Richard E. Byrd flew over the South Pole.
We will talk more about him later.
Today is
National Women's Checkup Day (in the U.S.)
It's always on the second Monday in May, following Mother's Day - what a sweet and considerate design!
I wish all women, mother or not, good health.

May 9, 1805
