Hi there, the first beautiful day in 2022.
Read the best books first; otherwise, you’ll find you do not have time.
—HENRY DAVID THOREAU
I hope you like this quote; if you are going to, like me, start the new year with a good book.
Today is Euro Day.
Jan 1, 1999
Euro became a legal tender in the 11 participating nations, rendering their local currencies obsolete.

Today over 2,000 years ago, Jan 1, 45B.C., the Julian Calendar took effect as the civil calendar of the Roman Empire until 1582 when replaced by the Gregorian calendar.
*Julian calendar 儒勒历 (365.25 days/year)
*Gregorian calendar 格里高利历(现行公历)365.2425 days/year.
The Gregorian calendar was brought to China by Jesuit missionaries in 1582 when the Europeans had just started to use it.
Not until 1912, however, the general public adopted the Gregorian calendar, did the yin-yang li lose its primary importance.
Whichever calendars, I wish every page of your calendar full of joy and laughter.
Happy 2022!
