English has a number of words that mean “fast” – but each one has different collocations.
英语中有很多表示“快”的单词，但每一个单词都有不同的搭配。
1.Use fast to describe a vehicle, person, or action: a fast car, a fast train, a fast runner, work fast, drive fast, learn fast.
用fast来形容车辆、人或动作：快速的汽车、快速的火车、跑得快的人、工作快、开车快、学得快。
2.Use quick to describe an event or action: a quick lunch, a quick glance, a quick shower, a quick decision.
用quick来描述一件事或一个动作：快速的午餐，快速的一瞥，快速的淋浴，快速的决定。
3.Use rapid to describe a change: a rapid increase/decline, a rapid change, rapid growth, rapid progress.
用rapid来形容变化：快速增长/下降，快速变化，快速增长，快速进步。
4.The word speedy is often used with recovery and resolution: a speedy recovery from surgery, a speedy resolution to the problem.
speedy这个词经常和（recovery恢复）和（resolution决议）一起使用：手术后的快速恢复，问题的快速解决。
5.The word swift is often used with action, response, and reaction: The swift action of the police enabled the criminal to be caught immediately; we received a swift response to our request for information.
swift这个词经常与动作、回复和反应一起使用：警察的迅速行动使罪犯立即被抓住；我们得到了对我们询问信息的迅速回应。
