suggest
(1) suggest something 提议:
I suggest red wine.我提议喝红酒。
She suggests champagne. 她提议喝香槟。
(2) suggest that someone should…提议某人做某事:
I suggest that you should call her.我建议你给她打电话。= I suggest that you call her.= I suggest you call her;
(3) suggest doing 提议做某事:
I suggested taking my car, but they wanted to take a cab. 我提议开我的车，但他们想打车。
(4) What do you suggest?你的提议是什么/你推荐什么？
May I suggest ….? 我能不能给你推荐....？
(5)You’re suggesting that I’m not good enough? 你的意思是我不够优秀？
Are you suggesting that I should break up with her? 你的意思是我应该和她分手吗？
(6) suggestion 建议:
What are your suggestions?/ What’s your suggestion? 你有什么推荐吗？
(7) at one’s suggestion 按照某人的提议/要求:
We bought the book at his suggestion. 根据他的提议我们买了这本书。
(8) follow one’s suggestions 听某人的建议:
Just follow my suggestions. 听我的提议/建议就行了。

(1) bank card;银行卡 credit card;信用卡 debit card. 借记卡。
(2) get carded 被检查ID:
You’ll get carded. 你会被查的。
I got carded.我被查了。
I can’t believe they carded me.我不敢相信他们居然查我身份。
