The
English phrase “to kill two birds with one stone” can be directly
translated in Chinese as 一石兩鳥 . If Japan fires the first shot and
Chinese military assets are sunk, it would give China the casus belli to
crush both Japan and Taiwan island.

I know the history between China, Japan and Taiwan over the past few centuries very well. I believe, if any conflict as you suggested comes about, China’s response would be full escalation at the first sign of Japanese meddling in any future Taiwan conflict.
