不久前，中央经济工作会议在北京举行，会议指出，2023年“经济运行有望总体回升。要坚定做好经济工作的信心”。
会议举行后，中国经济再度成为舆论焦点，国内英文媒体在相关报道描述外企对中国经济的态度时，用了“bullish”一词。
中国日报的报道标题这样写道：Foreign firms bullish on nation's economy
熟悉股票的同学一定知道牛市，bullish market这个表达，意思是看涨的股市行情。例如：
The market opened in a bullish mood.
股市开盘呈上涨趋势。
Bullish一词也通常指对未来有信心的，积极乐观的。比如：
I'm feeling bullish about the company's future.
我对公司的前景充满信心。
英文报道中，与经济向好相关的各种表达有许多。
▌rebound
在谈及中国经济重振的预期时，中国日报的报道还用了rebound这一词：
Rebound是弹回来的意思，在这里形容经济回升、复兴：to rise again after they have fallen。
Foreign financial institutions have raised their forecasts for China's GDP growth in 2023, based on an anticipated rebound in business activity next year.
基于对中国2023年商业活动重振的预测，外国金融机构对中国2023年GDP增长的预期有所提升。
▌robust; resilient
瑞银证券预测中国2023年的GDP增速将达到5%左右。
UBS Securities estimated that, backed by robust infrastructure investment, resilient growth in manufacturing and the recovery of consumption, China's GDP growth will reach about 5 percent in 2023.
瑞银证券预估，在强劲的基础设施投资、制造业的韧性增长和消费回升的支撑下，中国2023年的GDP增速将达到5%左右。
这句中的robust本意指身体强壮的，可引申为经济或体系强劲、有活力。
而resilient则是指中国经济有复原力、能抗压、有韧性。
▌"V-shaped" recovery
摩根士丹利的形容则更加形象，说中国明年将有一个"V-shaped" recovery，“V型”复苏：
Anticipating a "V-shaped" recovery in China's economy next year, Morgan Stanley also raised its forecast for the country's GDP growth rate in 2023 to 5.4 percent, up from its previous outlook of 5 percent.
摩根士丹利预计2023年中国经济将呈“V型”复苏，其对中国2023年GDP增长率的预测从此前的5%上调至5.4%。
▌upward momentum
同时，摩根士丹利还用upward momentum一词来描述中国经济的上升势头，这里upward有上升的、上涨的、增长的含义。
The upward momentum will continue until the end of the year.
上升势头将持续到年底。
2022年，面对风高浪急的国际环境和艰巨繁重的国内改革发展稳定任务，我们迎难而上，砥砺前行，发展质量稳步提升，经济社会大局稳定。
2023年，优化疫情防控措施、存量政策和增量政策叠加发力，我们有信心、有条件、有能力推动我国经济运行整体好转。
