ROLE DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE

We have an excellent opportunity for a Multi Asset trader in our China office, based in Shanghai. Individual will be responsible for the day- to- day execution of orders identified by Portfolio Management on a variety of asset classes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strong trading expertise on either Equity or Fixed Income products. Working knowledge across the following broad based list of products:
Equities: A and H-shares.
Fixed Income: China Inter Bond Market.
FX Spot / Forward / Swaps / Options.
OTC Derivatives: IRS, CDS, ILS, TRS, Swaptions.
Manage relationships with Investment teams.
Seek optimal client satisfaction through execution, communication, and relationships.
Play an integral part on a ‘valued added’ basis to investment process by leveraging market knowledge and counterparty contact to improve performance and influence outcomes.
Gather and report market intelligence to Portfolio Management teams.
Manage relationships with brokers / counterparties.
Maintain and develop strong, transparent and constructive relationships with brokers to obtain the best service for the firm’s clients.
KEY INTERNAL / EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: GTF APAC, Portfolio Managers, Risk and Compliance Teams
External: Brokers, Vendors (eg, Hundsun), Regulators
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
5-10 years trading experience on Equities, Fixed Income, Forex, and Derivatives preferred.
AMAC and SAC certification.
Strong computer skills, with advanced skills in Excel and Wind API.
Ability to extract data from trading platforms.
Formulate, analyze data and perform quantitative analysis from large data set.
Proficiency in trading platforms such as Hundsun.
Strong culture of compliance and risk management.
Bachelor’s degree or above from top level universities, major in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline coupled with excellent academic credentials.

SALES ASSISTANT (JOB NUMBER: TRA001327)

Duties:
Provide support and service to clients on their day-to-day trade related activities
Follow up deal executions for traditional trade and supply chain management business
Pricing quotation and approval seeking
Help to prepare the legal documentation and agree with clients the template / clauses
Check and improve transaction application, documents discrepancies provided by Ops
Follow up with the supporting documents required for each transaction and apply for the necessary approval if needed from business head, legal and compliance
Follow up with the clients the outstanding tasks to complete the deal, e.g. return / completion of deferral, collection of outstanding fees, BG cancellation, etc.
Proper archiving of key documents (pricing, special approvals, deferral, etc.)
Act as contact of point for clients to make day-to-day deal inquiries and provide answers to the clients
Follow up passive BG/LC flows from Intra-group branches
Back up Sales Managers for urgent requests
Compliance review (e.g. Hermes / Hermes++)
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth deal processing, good client experience and scalable capacity
Consolidate the volume projection and provide timely feedback to Ops
Identify the product / service gap and operational inefficiency, escalate to business heads and participate the projects and initiatives to make continuous improvement.
Comply with internal and regulatory risk and control guideline. Escalate to the business heads the risks arising from the day-to-day deal execution
Obtain and consolidate the market intelligence information including but not limited to market pricing, market trend etc from clients as well as sales team and further escalate to business heads
Other support activities including but not limited to:
Coordinate marketing champion, Greenwich surveys, client event, etc.
Other team admin works
Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework.
Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System.

Qualifications:
Degree holder, preferable in Banking and Finance
2 - 5 years of working experience in banking
Relevant professional certification
Strong knowledge/ experience in Trade finance and familiar with operational process of various trade products
Good knowledge on Cash Management businesses
Strong Excel and Power Point skills

Responsibilities:
Product development/ strategy
Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from market requirement to commercialization
Drive product deliverables by engaging key stakeholders (e.g. operations, IT, legal, compliance and relevant management committees, etc.) to ensure alignment
Drive innovation, digitization and e-channel strategies for trade products (e.g. e-draft, online BG/LC/Supplier Chain, 3rd party platform partnership, etc.)
In line with market trends and/ or changes to client requirements, consult and work with regional product team to update our offering and/ or develop new innovative solutions
Remain up-to-date on the industry trend with a clear view of external capabilities benchmarking and respond to the consequent challenges or opportunities identified.
Oversee the end-to-end product performance, such as efficiency, automation, turnaround times, and ensuring scalability for growth
Maximize the Return on Investment and commercialization

University graduate with Finance, Business or related major.
10+ years of working experience foreign banks with at least 6 years specialized in trade product management.
Strong knowledge of supplier chain management and traditional trade
Track record of successfully managing the delivery of key trade products in the past work experience
Good comment of English, both in oral and written
Able to work with open mind and good innovation to catch up with product marketing trends
Comprehensive product knowledge & bank system knowledge to manage product projects
Familiar with risks and processes of all trade products
Solid knowledge of SAFE, PBOC and CBIRC etc. regulation
