Harry is witty in all situations, although his academic performance is not very good. He has more extracurricular studies than all students: learning from Lupin to repel dementors, learning from Snape to seal the brain and so on. Harry has proved that he has amazing magic talent, so it is not surprising that he received seven qualified O.W.Ls grades.
