The United States Military Academy at West Point(西点军校), New York—one of the oldest service academies in the world—was originally founded as a training centre for the U.S. Corps of Engineers.

Today is Freedom of Information Day.
Freedom of Information Day is observed every year on March 16 on the birthday of James Madison (the fourth President of the U.S., born on March 16, 1751.)
The date was chosen since President Madison was an advocate for the freedom of data and individual rights to obtain the correctin formation.
This day serves as a yearly reminder of the significance of transparency within the American government and the public’s right to information.
The day ensures the public is aware of all the government’s information and provided with the necessary information.
The Freedom of Information Act (F.O.I.A.) was passed on July 4, 1966, and came into effect a year later.

Key words:
The freedom is the public's freedom, not the government's freedom.

这本童话书在1980年被日本导演改编成同名动画片,1983年被引进中国大陆,是佛老这辈子看的第一部电视动画片,在我小时候最好的朋友家里,那年只有他家有电视机(孔雀牌,14英寸黑白电视机)。
