The first Jeep was produced from a bid by the U.S. Army for
a small, all-terrain vehicle with four-wheel drive.

Today is
Universal Birthday for Shelter Dogs
The day, August 1st is dubbed “Dogust 1st”
by North Shore Animal League America to symbolize the birthday (day of
re-birth, adoption) for all shelter dogs across America.
If you want to own a dog, besides the option of buying an
expensive puppy, consider adopting one from a dog shelter. If you are destined
to be together, you will find it.
