Adolf von Baeyer, the German chemist and Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureate, died at age 81.
*Not to be confused with Friedrich Bayer (1825-1880) who founded the German chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer AG.
They are not related.
In 1905 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry " for synthesizing indigo."
*indigo （靛蓝）is a deep and bright color close to the color wheel blue as well as to some variants of ultramarine.
I like the color indigo.
