佛老更愿意把2021年叫做新冠二年，去年是新冠元年。几十年后，未来的人们再回首看我们所在的今天，不知作何感想。
正如Tacoma Daily Index所说的那样，
“2021 has been a year of reassessment, questioning, reframing and even abandoning much of what came before.”
2021年对佛老而言也是不寻常的一年，有过揪心的时刻和难眠的夜晚，我坐在病房里对着暗夜的虚空不知该想什么做什么。但也由此想明白了很多与生命有关的事，扔掉了手指间夹了近30年的香烟。
在我感到最孤单的时刻，一个清晨，在走廊那头远远看见妻子的身影缓缓向我走来，那一刻，我愈发理解了什么是夫妻之间的陪伴。
佛老的2021年度词汇是——戒烟。如果能选择两个词的话，还有陪伴。
