表示转折的连词，使用的最多的就是but了。不过有一些but的表达长得很像，意思也很容易让人混淆不清。cannot but、none but、anything but、all but，这四个表达都是什么意思？都该怎么用？今天我们就来看看吧。

不能+转折=一定能，必定会
If we persevere, we cannot but succeed.
如果我们坚持不懈，就一定会胜利。

none but
一个都没有，除了=only=只有
None but a dedicated scientist would want to read such a detailed report.
只有专注的科学家才会去读如此细致的报告。

anything but
恰恰不；根本不；决不
She's meant to be really nice but she was anything but nice when I met her.
她确实是想对别人好，可是我和她碰面的时候，她真的不怎么样。

all but
全部+转折=非全部=almost=几乎，差不多
The game was all but over by the time we arrived.
我们到那儿时，比赛差不多要结束了。
I'd all but given up on you.
我差不多要放弃你了。
but虽然是个简单到不行的单词，但它也是有几个容易让人迷惑的表达的。除了上面的那几个，还有比如：but then (again)的意思是“不过话又说回来；不过仔细想想”。
I agree she types accurately, but then again, she's very slow.
我承认她打字很准确，不过话又说回来，她打得很慢。
no buts (about it)就好理解些，它是用来强调就算与你交谈的人不希望某事发生，它也会发生，也就是没有“但是”可言；没有商量的余地。
We're going to visit your aunt tomorrow and there'll be no buts about it.
我们明天要去看望你的婶婶，一定要去，没有商量的余地。
