Prohibit 禁止，阻止（某项活动），（尤指通过法律或政府法令禁止），如：6. Smoking is prohibited in the cinema. 电影院禁止吸烟。7. The government introduced a law to prohibit tobacco commercials on TV. 政府采用新法律来禁止电视上播放烟草广告.
