《山海情》、《琅琊榜》等好剧的制作方正午阳光出品的电视剧《开端》一经播出便收获好评，众多网友看剧同时还做云推理，在一遍遍时间循环（time loop）中烧脑解谜。
不少人“熬夜修仙”连刷8集10集，但没看过的人可能会疑惑。有网友留言：我妈偶尔瞥到我看剧，说“看了一周了，怎么还在看第一集？”

不久后，阿汤哥Tom Cruise和Emily Blunt主演的《明日边缘》（2014）也是类似的设定，电影的英文标题已经揭示了这一概念：Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow 生死重复：明日边缘。
作为一种更广义的设定技巧，时间循环更是应用在各种电影中。如卷福主演的2016年电影《奇异博士》结尾也是靠着操纵时间，不断重复事件，来打（消）败（耗）终极魔王。

运用时间循环的影视作品这些年来层出不穷，但是观众却仍未厌倦。作者Noahspud在论坛The Artifice上写文章讨论了背后的原因。
❶ 想改变/重温过去
Audience has an innate desire to change something about the past or relive the good old days.
观众有种本能愿望，想改变过去或重温过去的美好时光。
❷ 逃离未知、拥抱确定性
An Infinite Time Loop could be a pleasant escape from the uncomfortable demands of life. It provides constancy and certainty, which sates people's urge to avoid getting older and facing an uncertain future.
无限的时间循环或许能帮人轻松逃避苛刻的生活。它提供了恒定性和确定性，满足了人们不想变老和面对不确定未来的愿望。
❸ 见证自私主角走向无私
Selfish main characters become selfless, from escaping from the loop for their own sake to saving others, for example. And sometimes leaving a time loop is the most selfless thing a character can do.
自私的主人公变得无私，例如，从为了自己而逃离循环到拯救他人。有时候一个角色能做的最无私的事情就是离开这个时间循环。

When two time travelers are trapped in a time loop together, they end up in a relationship with each other.
当两个时间旅行者被困在一个时间循环中时，他们最终会建立起彼此的关系。
说到时间循环这种强设定，就不得不提它的上级分类——“高概念High concept”。
High concept is a type of artistic work that can be easily pitched with a succinctly stated premise. It can be contrasted with low concept, which is more concerned with character development.
High concept指的是一类艺术作品，这类作品可以用一个简洁的前提来概括。其反义词是低概念，而低概念作品的叙事更关注人物发展。
影评网站IMDB上有网友汇总了一份高概念片单，里面有不少大家熟知的作品：

而中文里的本土概念是“无限流”（试译：the infinite style / the encompassing style），起源于起点中文网的相关小说，特征是包含科学、奇幻、宗教、现实等等概念设定。这一分类体现了文学艺术作品想象力的勃发。

回到《开端》，目前炸弹袭击的主谋已经找到，但剧集还未完结。后续会怎样发展呢？
