Though the People's Education Press responded that it would redraw the covers and some illustrations to improve the painting style and the artistic level, the event doesn't stop there. The textbook bureau of China's Ministry of Education announced that it will investigate the issue.

This is not about the aesthetic taste or appreciation, and this is not about so called innovation, but it's about the degrading morality.
The illustration of a reversed Chinese flag really violates the Law of the People's Republic of China on the National Flag. The investigation should be thoroughly conducted. Let's wait and see. The truth will come to light.
这不是关于审美情趣或鉴赏，也不是关于所谓的创新，而是关于堕落的道德。
