Xiaohua: Xiaohong, I find this guy really interesting when he pronounces "th" sounds in English.
小华：小红。我觉得这个男的发音好有意思。
Xiaohong: What does he say？
小红：他说什么了？
Xiaohua: He goes like “Shuan Q” instead of “thank you”.
小华：他把谢谢说成了“栓Q”。
Xiaohong：Hahaha, I think it's funny because he mispronounces the "th" sounds. They are hard to pronounce. But he's cute. This video really goes viral.
小红：哈哈哈，挺逗的。他把th发错了。的确，th发音挺难的。但是，他很可爱啊。这视频挺火的。
Xiaohua：Are you serious? I think he pronounces th sounds in a funny way.
小华：你是认真的吗？我觉得他是哗众取宠。
Xiaohong：So, you mean he does it on purpose? No, I think he has a strong accent of his mother tongue. To my understanding, in most parts of Southern China, people don't have "r" sound, like "merry". They go like "melly". And th sounds don't even exist in Mandarin, Chinese Pinyin. So, it's okay to make mistakes.
小红：所以你觉得他是故意做的吗？嗯，其实他只是有比较重的口音。据我所知，在中国南方许多地方，人们发不出‘r’的音，比如：merry。他们发成melly。th的发音在普通话里也没有，所以，发错音其实也没关系。
Xiaohua: But what is the correct way to say th?
