After "Double Reduction" policy, Chinese education giant New Oriental has to find ways to survive. For months, its live e-commerce initiative has been lackluster. 
在“双减”政策之后,中国教育巨头新东方不得不寻找生存之道。几个月来,它的在线电子商务活动一直乏力。
But suddenly, New Oriental really took off over the last weekend. During a session of selling bags of rice, the host pulled out a small whiteboard and asked the audience whether they thought the price of RMB 80 was fair. And she wrote three English words—bargain, cost-effective and unforgettable—on the whiteboard and began teaching an unexpected course on how to use these words in real life. That's sensational. 
但突然间,新东方在上周末就火了起来。在一次卖米的环节中,主持人拿出一块小白板,问观众80元的价格是否公道。她在白板上写下了“讨价还价”、“性价比”和“难忘”三个英文单词,并开始教授一门关于如何在现实生活中使用这些单词的出乎意料的课程。太火了。
After 18-hour-long livestream held on June 11 recorded RMB 19.9 million in sales. On Monday, New Oriental's share price increased by more than 16% in HongKong. 
在6月11日举行的18个小时的直播中,销售额达到了1990万元。周一,新东方在香港的股价上涨了16%以上。
