be hell-bent on sth
If you are hell-bent on doing something, it means you are extremely
determined. But not only determined it means you are determined in a reckless
way; you will do ANYTHING to accomplish your goal, even if it's harmful or
immoral or even if accomplishing that goal might not be a good thing. If you are
hell-bent on doing it, you don't care. You are determined to do it no matter
what.
如果你hell-bent去做某事，意思就是你非常坚定的。但它又不仅意味着坚定，而且还是一种不顾后果的坚定;你愿意做任何事情来实现你的目标，即使这样是有害的或不道德的，或者即使实现那个目标可能不是一件好事。如果你hell-bent这件事，你是不会在乎的。你决心无论如何都要做这件事。
He was hell-bent on revenge.
他铁了心要报仇。
He seems hell-bent on drinking himself to death.
他一个劲地喝酒，似乎命都不要了。
