Lose是丢失，失去的意思；touch是接触的意思。Lose touch就是逐渐失去联络。
而与之相反的，get in touch就是“取得联络”；如果联系一直没有中断，就是keep in touch / remain in touch“保持联络”。

但是！如果在lose和 touch之间加入物主代词，意思就完全不一样了。
lose one’s touch的意思是指：
To no longer be skilled in doing something or handling someone.
不再擅长做某事或与某人相处

He used to be one of the league's elite shooters, but it seems like he's lost his touch.
他曾经是联盟的顶级射手之一，但现在看来他已经能力不行了。

be out of touch with (someone or something) 当然有“与某人一段时间未联系”的意思。但be out of touch with还有另一层含义是指：缺少信息，或是对他人的需求和关注缺乏理解
To lack understanding or information on a current topic or issue & to lack understanding or awareness of other people's needs or concerns.

Slashing the company's insurance policy shows that the CEO is totally out of touch with the needs of his workers.
削减公司的保险政策表明首席执行官完全不了解员工的需求。

如果你提到的某件事“touch a nerve”，说明你提到了一个让对方非常敏感、反应强烈的话题，也就是所谓的“碰到雷点”，你也可以用strike / hit a nerve来表示相同的意思。
To evoke a strong emotional reaction, such as anger, sadness, or disgust, upon being encountered, heard, read, etc.
在遇到、听到、读到等时引起强烈的情绪反应，如愤怒、悲伤或厌恶（看得出来，并非是积极的情绪反应）。

Your column must have hit a nerve, because we are getting slammed with feedback from readers—and they're not happy.

be a nice touch 指的是一个细微但效果很好的动作，使得某件事的结果变得更有趣、愉快。
🌰举个例子
They used a collage of pictures from all our travels together to create the centerpiece. That's a nice touch!
他们用我们一起旅行的照片做成的拼贴画，来制作桌子的中心摆件，这样做真棒！
touch and go

如果某件事的结果不能确定、不可判断，可能还十分危险，可以用 touch and go 这个短语来表示，但是要注意，如果在名词前使用，则需要使用连字符。
🌰举个例子
The doctors said it was touch and go at points during surgery, but he pulled through and expected to make a full recovery.
医生说，在手术过程中，他的情况一度十分危险，但他挺了过来，并且有望完全康复。
It was a touch-and-go match from beginning to end, but fortunately we were able to pull ahead in the last few minutes.

指的是某人参与的每一项任务、活动、项目等都变得非常成功。简直就像“开了挂”一样。
其实这个有“金手指”的人原本指的是希腊神话中的弗里吉亚王，米达斯。因为贪恋财富，他求神赐予点物成金的法术，酒神狄俄尼索斯满足了他的愿望，但最后连他的爱女和食物也都因被他手指点到而变成金子。他无法生活，再次向神祈祷收回这项魔力，一切才恢复原状。

The company has seen incredible profits since the hiring of the new creative director. So far everything he touches has turned to gold!
