“ revenge consumption

“报复性消费”就是“报复”revenge+“消费”consumption的组合，revenge consumption 。这两个单词都是各种英语考试中需要掌握的词汇，大家可要背下来~
Revenge consumption, the situation in which the demand for specific goods and services suddenly skyrockets and remains high for an extended period of time, is a relatively new economic phenomenon.
报复性消费是一种相对较新的经济现象，指的是对特定商品和服务的需求突然飙升，并在很长一段时间内保持较高水平。
consumption 除了指“消费”，也有“（能量、食物或材料的）消耗，消耗量”和“（信息、娱乐等供某类人的）专用”这两个意思。

The meat was clearly unfit for human consumption (= not safe for people to eat).
这肉显然不适合给人食用。
As a nation, our consumption of junk food is horrifying.
我们整个国家对垃圾食品的消费量十分惊人。

“复仇、报复”除了revenge，还有很多种说法：
pay sb back 使（某人）付出代价，向（某人）报复
He swore he'd pay her back for all she'd done to him.
他发誓要让她为对自己所做的一切付出代价。
get even with sb 跟…算账；与…扯平
This prank may seem elaborate, but I need to get even with my brother for dumping a bucket of water on me the other day.
这个恶作剧虽然是精心设计的，但我需要报复我哥哥，因为他前几天把一桶水倒在我身上。
vengeance 报仇，复仇，抱复；复仇心
As he cradled his daughter's lifeless body in his arms, he swore (to take) vengeance on her killers.
他紧抱着女儿的尸体，发誓要找杀害她的凶手报仇。
settle a score 算旧账
He is using his wealth and power to settle old scores.
他凭借自己的财富和权力来算旧账。
限制

一直这么“报复性消费”下去，我的存款和血压都扛不住，所以C姐目前最需要的是restrict yourself to sth，意思是 to limit yourself to one particular thing or activity “约束自己不越出…的范围；将自己限制在…限度内”。
restrict是动词，的意思是“限制；限定；妨碍”；
形容词是 restrictive，“限制性的；约束性的”；
副词是 restricted，意为“受（尤指官方法规等）限制的，受约束的”，或“（某区域）限制出入的，实行管制的，不对公众开放的”，或“（文件）保密的，限于内部传阅的”。
🌰 举个例子
If I'm driving, I restrict myself to one glass of wine.
我要开车的时候，只许自己喝一杯葡萄酒。
Membership is restricted to (= it is only for) chief executive officers.
能获得会员资格的人只限于首席执行官们。
