。当今社会，快递行业已融入大多数人的生活，成为日常所需，不过快递相关的英文怎么说你都知道吗？

express 这个单词作为形容词时，它的意思其实是 moving or being sent fast，“快速的；快递的；特快的”，它可以用来形容各种行业中的快速服务，可不单单只用来指我们说的快递，比如：
Please send this letter by express delivery.
请用快递寄这封信。

The dry cleaners offer a normal or an express service.
干洗店提供常规服务以及快洗服务。
而当 express 作为名词时，它也并不能用来指具体的包裹，它指的是 a service that does something faster than usual，一种“快送服务”，比如：
This parcel needs to be sent by express.
这个包裹需要用快递寄。
当然，作为名词时它还可以用来指“快车”，比如：
The quickest way to get here is to take the uptown express.
来这儿最便捷的方法就是坐从市中心开出来的特快列车。

不过，express 最最常用的还是作为动词，意思还是“陈述；表达；表露”，这是个B2词汇：
Her eyes expressed deep sadness.
她眼神中流露出深切的悲伤。
I would like to express my thanks for your kindness.
承蒙善意，谨表达对您的衷心感谢。
I'm afraid I'm not expressing myself very clearly.
恐怕我没把我的意思表达清楚。
express 作为动词自然也有“快递寄送”的意思，但这种用法主要在美国使用（还不常用）。
Your order will be expressed to you within 24 hours.
您订的货将在24小时内快递送到。

delivery 才是日常使用的运输服务总称，the act of taking goods, letters, parcels, etc. to people's houses or places of work，只要不是自己亲自去取，都可以叫 delivery，这是个B1名词，指“运送，递送，投递”；deliver 是动词，指“运送，递送，投递”
。外卖：food delivery
货到付款：cash on delivery
外卖小哥：deliveryman
🌰举个例子
We get two deliveries of mail (= it is delivered twice) a day.
我们每天会接收到两次邮件。
You can pay for the carpet on delivery (= when it is delivered).
地毯可以货到付款。
We expect to take delivery of (= receive) our new car next week.
我们预计下周能拿到新车。

英文里“包裹，邮包”一般用：parcel（英式表达）或者 package（美式表达），所以每当你的快递到了，快递小哥就会跟你说“You got a package.” 而取快递就是：pick up a package. 提醒：就算不是快递寄来的包裹也可以叫做 parcel/package 。
