前一阵子我也不知道为啥，脑子一抽就退出了自己的iPad，结果忘记了ID密码根本登录不回去。本想设置个新密码，它告诉我新密码不能跟之前的密码一样[要疯了] 。
现在各种各样的密码简直多到要把人淹没，今天C姐就来跟大家分享些“密码”有关的英语知识。
“密码”的英语表达

提到密码，大家的第一反应可能会是password，这是一个非常基础的词汇了，不过“银行卡密码”的英语其实并不是password哦。
因为password的意思是“口令、密码”，它可以由数字和字母和字符组成，它可以指你的开机密码、微信密码、登录密码等等，用处十分广泛。
I can't let you in unless you give the password.
你说出口令我才能让你进来。
You can't gain access to the computer system without entering your password.
不输入密码你是无法进入电脑系统的。
而你的银行卡的密码，应该是PIN number。
pin这个B1水平单词大家应该还是熟悉的，作为名词使用时，pin是“别针，大头针”的意思。
I'll keep the trouser patch in place with pins while I sew it on.
在把裤子的补丁缝上去时，我会用别针把它固定好。
作为动词时，pin是“别住，钉住，固定住”和“按住，压住”的意思。下列例句中，与pin连用的介词的使用方法大家可以学起来~
She had pinned up her beautiful long hair.
她把她那美丽的长发用发夹别了起来。
She was pinned (down) under a pile of rubble.

值得注意的是，我在上面提到PIN number时，PIN是全部大写！这是因为这里的PIN并不是单词pin，而是personal identification number的缩写，译为“个人身份识别码”或“银行卡密码”，常和number连用。

除了PIN和password，英语中还有一个词也有“密码”的意思，就是code，它的用法和其他两者又有何不同呢？
code既不能与PIN替换，也不等同于password，它的意思是“密码；代号；代码”，是指用秘密的形式或更简短方便的形式，来表示一段信息。比如我们常用的：
bar code是条形码；QR code是二维码；
area code或dialling code代表国家或地区的区号；
zip code是美国的邮政编码；
code word或code name指的是代号，有连字符的code-name是个动词，意思是“给……代号”。
🌰举个例子
She managed to decipher/break/crackthe code.
她成功地破译了密码。
例句中的decipher/break/crack=succeed in understanding
code还有“法典；法规”的意思，这个意思考BEC的同学可要记住哦，比如penal code是指刑法典。
Clinics will be subject to a new code of conduct and stronger controls by local authorities.
诊所将要遵守新的行业规范，并受到地方当局更有力的掌控。
当然code还有“行为准则；规范；规矩”的意思，我们常说的“道德规范”就是a moral code；
“行为准则”就是a code of behaviour；
“社交场合的着装规范，穿着要求”则是dress code。
