在职场中，会不会碰到求助的同事？偶尔帮忙一次有利于拉进关系，但如果遇到自己本就忙碌的时候，我们也要学会正确拒绝！
那么知识点来了，如果我们想因忙碌而拒绝别人时，应该怎么表达呢？说I'm busy，显得推脱之感很强烈，听起来非常敷衍，也会让对方觉得不被重视，那么，该怎么拒绝的有感情呢~

pressed for time
在英语中，pressed是press的过去分词和过去式，也是一个形容词，意思是“紧缺，短绌”。搭配time那自然是指“时间紧张”，意思是很难找到有空的时间，真的很忙啦。另外，pressed也可以与money, space等等词汇搭配。
🌰举个例子
I'm a little pressed for time - could we meet later?
我现在时间有点紧——我们能稍后再碰面吗？
I'd love to stop and talk, but I'm pressed for time.
我真想停下来聊聊天，但我的时间太紧了。

tied up
be tied up的本意自然是把某人“捆绑起来”，但它也可以用来形容把某人缠住，使某人无法脱身，非常的形象是不是~
I'm afraid we can't meet till Wednesday - I'm tied up on Monday and Tuesday.
恐怕我们要到周三才能碰头——我周一和周二都脱不开身。

hands full
have your hands full直接翻译的意思是“两只手都满了”，手上全是活，可以引申为“忙得不可开交”。
I'd love to help but I've got my hands full organizing the school play.
我愿意帮忙，可是我正忙着组织学校的戏剧演出，腾不出空儿来。

have a lot on my plate
plate是“盘子”的意思，除了用在吃上，plate也可以用来形容人生这盘菜。have sth on your plate意思是就是“有很多工作要做”。而小标题中的这个a lot指代的就是a lot of work，当然也可以换成其它的内容，就比如下面的例句中：
The aid agencies have more than enough on their plate without having unnecessary visitors to take care of.
即使不接待那些不必要的来访者，援助事务所也已经忙得不可开交。

swamp
swamp除了做名词表示“沼泽地；湿地”外，还可以作动词，表示“淹没，浸没”或“充斥，席卷，使应接不暇”，通常搭配with，比如：
I'm swamped with work at the moment.
我这会儿忙得不可开交。
Foreign cars have swamped the UK market.
外国车席卷了整个英国市场。

on the go
on the go其实就是very busy，意思是忙个不停的，特别忙的。
I've been on the go all day, and I'm really tired.
我一整天都忙个不停，真的很累。
不过因为on可以表示“处于…状况（或过程）中”，go有“运转，运行，工作”的意思，所以在英式英语中，on the go还有“正在生产中，处于生产过程中”的意思，可不要换了个语境就不知道这个表达的意思了。
