翻译思路：
这句话不太好翻译，主要是我们对美国的医保制度不了解，当然对布什政府提出的新医保计划也不太了解。为了翻译这个句子，我还专门查了查布什提出的这个医保计划。别说对美国的医保制度，我们很多人对中国的医保制度也不那么清楚，这是情有可原的。
不过，在翻译中要注意最后那个with介词短语，不太好翻译。with在这里其实带了点说“这个计划（指布什搞的这个健康储蓄计划），带来的结果就是…”。还有那个deductibles是指“自付额，免赔额”，好像中国也有这样的，就是“自付一部分，报销一部分，好像一年需要达到多少才能够报销”，具体我也真不了解。
没啥，别没钱；有啥，别有病。

翻译思路：
even在这个句子开头，不是让步状语从句的引导词，它只修饰demographics这个名词。
the odds of后面的having…，破折号后面的and all the attendant need都修饰the odds。因为and并列在一起，还因为all the attendant need跟后面的谓语（需要增加为8倍），意义说不过去。只有“几率增加”才说的过去，所以是“父母有一个年迈的几率，还有所有需要帮助的几率”两者都增加。
