翻译思路：增词法
这个句子的主句部分 The ability to guard customer data is the key to market value直译的结果的是：保护客户数据的能力是市场价值的关键。这样翻译当然可以接受，但是总有点不通顺，所以我增加了一个“保护...是（确保）市场价值的关键”。我增加了一个动词“确保，保证，保护”等词。
另外这个 which 定语从句，它修饰的是离得最近的 market value，要注意看到。
