经常。
🚩often多用于谈论自己做的事情，对自己产生的影响。柯林斯解释为If something often happens, it happens many times or much of the time.，它的内涵是“强调经常发生的次数，在不同场合下经常发生”。
它的位置通常谓语主要动词前，或者be动词后；在有助动词的时候，放在助动词后。它还可以放在句子末尾；如果特别强调的时候，可以放在句首。
如：
We often go there. 我们常去那儿。
We have often been there. 我们常在那里.
That doesn't happen very often.那样的事并不常见。
Often I did not see Papa until the evening.经常性地，我知道晚上才见到爸爸。
🚩frequently几乎可以和often通用，牛津和朗文词典的解释都是often，very often。细微的区别在于，frequently比often要正式。frequently尤其用于谈论对大众产生影响的事情，或者人们通常会做的事情。Frequently还可能意味着同意场合下动作频繁的多次出现，强调频率。
如：
Buses run frequently from the city to the airport. 公共汽车频繁地从城市驶往机场。
It’s the most frequently asked question these days.那是这些天来问得最多的问题。
🚩usually是“通常、惯常”，次数比often和frequently还要多，甚至到了“事情发生到几乎可以预测，还会如前面一样发生”，而often和frequently则没有这一层含义。柯林斯解释为If something usually happens, it is the thing that most often happens in a particular situation.。
如：
He usually comes to class on time.他来上课一般都很准时。
They ate, as they usually did, in the kitchen... 像平常一样，他们是在厨房吃的饭。
Usually, the work is boring... 这项工作通常枯燥乏味。
🚩a lot经常用在口语中，柯林斯解释为If you do something a lot, you do it often or for a long time.，暗含的意思除了“经常”还有“长久”。
如：
They went out a lot, to the Cafe Royal or the The Ivy... 他们常常出去玩，一般是到皇家咖啡馆或者常春藤那里。
He talks a lot about his own children. 他经常谈到自己的孩子。
🚩routinely来源于routine，是指“某一工作或者某一过程中，例行地、常规地”，柯林斯解释为If something is routinely done, it is done as a normal part of a job or process.。它还有一层含义是“毫无意外，惯常发生”，柯林斯解释为If something happens routinely, it happens repeatedly and is not surprising, unnatural, or new.。
如：
Vitamin K is routinely given in the first week of life to prevent bleeding.出生后第一周通常要服用维生素K，以防止出血。
Any outside criticism is routinely dismissed as interference... 任何来自外界的批评通常都被当作干涉而不予理睬。
He is routinely described as the greatest scientist since Einstein. 他通常被认为是继爱因斯坦之后最伟大的科学家。
