译文：
所以，当沃斯·莎凡特要回答普通人（智商为100）类似“爱与喜欢之间的区别是什么？”或者“幸运与巧合的本质是什么？”这样的问题时，大家就感觉有点莫名其妙。
翻译思路：
field这个单词可以当作动词用，其中一个意思就是“成功地回答问题，处理问题”。当然，还有“出场、参加比赛；参加竞选”等意思；还有“在板球、棒球中担任防守”的意思。
average Joe，在美国有很多种叫法，还有ordinary
Joe, Joe Sixpack, Joe Snuffy还有ordinary Jane, average Jane, plain Jane等，都是指彻头彻尾的那种普通人。
最后，it is confusing...中的代词it，没有实际的指代意义。下文说普通人问了一些问题，大家会觉得有点莫名其妙。原因在下一句话有解释，因为这些问题是哲学家都答不好的问题。
