隐秘的。
🚩secret是指“人的行动或者行为暗中进行的，未公开的，隐秘的”，它也可以指“事物是保密的，隐匿的，鲜为人知的”，柯林斯解释为If something is secret, it is known about by only a small number of people, and is not told or shown to anyone else.。
如：
Soldiers have been training at a secret location.士兵们一直在一个秘密场所训练。
The police have been trying to keep the documents secret.警方一直设法将这些文件保密。
🚩covert是指“通过伪装、遮掩等手法暗地里进行的隐秘行为，或者对事实不坦率宣布”，柯林斯解释为Covert activities or situations are secret or hidden.。它的用法比较正式。
如：
They have been supplying covert military aid to the rebels.他们一直在暗地里向叛乱者提供军事支援。
The depth of covert racism in my own profession frightens me.我所从事的职业中暗藏着如此深的种族主义偏见，这让我感到害怕。
🚩clandestine是指“对非法的、不道德的、被禁止的对象保密”，柯林斯解释为Something that is clandestine is hidden or kept secret, often because it is illegal.。它的用法也比较正式。

🚩furtive带有贬义，原来是指小偷，现在用来“形容某人由于感到有罪或者害怕被抓而做出的迅速紧张的动作，鬼鬼祟祟的，偷偷摸摸的”，柯林斯解释为If you describe someone's behaviour as furtive, you disapprove of them behaving as if they want to keep something secret or hidden。
如：
With a furtive glance over her shoulder, she unlocked the door and entered the house.她鬼鬼祟祟地往身后扫了一眼，然后打开门锁进了房子。
🚩stealthy是指“避开注意力缓慢的、悄悄的秘密行动”，柯林斯解释为Stealthy actions or movements are performed quietly and carefully, so that no one will notice what you are doing.。
如：
I would creep in and with stealthy footsteps explore the second-floor...我会偷偷溜进去，轻手轻脚地查看一下二楼。
It was a stealthy sound made by someone anxious not to be heard.这是有人不想让别人听到而偷偷摸摸移动的声音。
