With 197 institutions featuring on their list, the United States was the most represented country, followed by the United Kingdom with 90, and China with 71.

The lists' publishers, QS Top Universities, said the results drew on analysis of 17.5 million academic papers and the expert opinions of more that 240,000 academic faculty and employers.
