The Little Prince is a beautifully written classic by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It tells the story of a pilot, crashing in the Sahara desert, who encounters a strange young prince, falling to earth from a tiny asteroid where he lived alone with a single rose. The rose has made him so miserable that, in torment, he has taken advantage of a flock of birds to convey him to other planets. The Little Prince explores the boundless themes of loneliness, friendship, love, and loss.
《小王子》是法国作家安托万·德·圣·埃克苏佩里写成的世界文学名著。这部童话讲述了一个外星球坠落地球的小王子在撒哈拉沙漠偶遇一名落难飞行员的故事。在小王子生活的小行星中， 他曾与玫瑰花一起生活， 然而玫瑰令他如此伤心欲绝以至于后来他利用一群鸟来到其他星球。《小王子》探索了人类的孤独、友谊、爱以及失去这些主题。
Despite its being a narrative for children, the book is in fact packed with colorful and satirical life lessons intended for adults. Here are eight of my favorite quotations from The Little Prince.
