The Confucian Six Arts, or Rujia Liuyi,
were the six fundamental abilities that ancient Chinese Confucianism required
students to master.

ability to handle horse-drawn carriages. It required both skill and a calm and
decisive demeanor.

Shu, or literacy, included writing,
reading, and written expression. It was an important means of knowledge
dissemination and cultural inheritance.
