【有很多大佬说我词汇量少，也的确是这样，但我并没有没背单词之类的，最近也有在背，但没什么技巧，全是靠死记硬背.....】
单词的拼写肯定是要记的，但是我们应该在学习单词的基础上去记，而不是单纯地孤立地记单词的拼写，为什么呢？我们来看如下例句，注意黑体字：1. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.2. He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consentof our legislatures.3. He has refused his assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.4. He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his assentto Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.5. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity,which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
黑体字的3个单词，如果我们只是记忆它们的拼写及其中文的意思，往往就会记成这样：A. consent：同意B. assent: 同意C. acquiesce：同意
上面5条例句都是出自The Declaration of Independence (《独立宣言》）, 如果我们这样孤立地背单词的话，就会出现单词似曾相识，放到文章里就看不懂的现象！有很多同学都这样说。
英语里的很多同义词，通常都是带倾向性描述：A. consent：同意（做某事）B. assent: 同意（且批准请求，建议等）C. acquiesce：同意（很勉强），默许。
Consent, assent 都有名词、动词形式，acquiesce只有动词形式。如：6. At approximately 11:30 p.m., Pollard finally gave his consent to the search. 大概晚上11点半的时候，波拉德最终同意进行搜查。【名词形式】7. He gave his assent to the proposed legislation. 他批准了提请审议的法案。【名词形式】8. The director has given her assent to the proposals. 负责人已表示同意提案。（含有批准的意思）【名词形式】9. She acquiesced in the group’s decision, even though she had her doubts. 虽然有疑惑，她还是勉强同意了组里的决定。【动词】
前面第5句里的“We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity”, acquiesce + in sth. 是习惯用法，necessity 是“必然性，不可避免的情况”的意思。如 Living in London, he felt, was an unfortunate necessity.（他觉得在伦敦生活是迫于无奈。）acquiesce in the necessity 就是“很勉强接受这个必然性”，用中文习惯来说就是“迫不得已”。

Alluring：（神秘，有吸引力）诱人的；迷人的，如：11. Some journalists like to colour their stories up with alluring details of people's private lives. 一些新闻记者喜欢用诱人的私生活细节来夸大故事。
Charming：（可爱，有吸引力）迷人的，可爱的，讨人喜欢的，如：12. I expected him to be rather formidable, but he’s actually a very charming man. 我原以为他很令人敬畏，可实际上他挺招认喜欢。13. He found her as smart and beautiful as she is charming. 他感觉她聪明漂亮，又讨人喜欢。
