 talk down to sb. 表示to talk to someone as if they are less intelligent than you or not important,用带有优越感、高人一等、居高临下的口气和人说话。
I hate the way my boss talks down to me whenever I ask him to explain something.

 second-guess 作动词有两个意思,第一个是表示to seek to anticipate or predict,在事情发生之前猜测会发生什么,猜测某人会怎么做,第二个是表示to criticize someone's decision after it has been made, and say what you think is wrong with it,事后才开始质疑做得不对,批评已经做出的决定。
