楼主你的刻苦精神还是很让人钦佩滴~！不过弱弱说一句，好象稍微有点走偏了，语言还是用来沟通交流的，你文章中出现大量的生僻词汇，其实如果不是特别专业的场合，一般不会用到，而且对于语法和个别时态似乎也刻意的学习和使用了很多哇！（可能学习起来很有成就感，但是实际生活中就会不那么适用了）个人意见而已。楼主不要见怪。
楼主其实可以多看新闻，报纸，甚至电视剧也可以，这样可以学习更好的句式和更多词汇的用法...........

接下来讲讲自己的事情：
我到美国第四周了，和几个来自不同国家的人一起生活，自己也在为生存而奔波，所以很久没有来这里。
我在美国本领域世界最强的实验室，所以正是特别专业的场合，的确一般人用不到、甚至一辈子也碰不到那些词汇，我自己天天要用。我也没有任何成就感。
关于口语，我只有听人家嘴里说，吸收一个算一个，除此继续中式英语让人明白算了，老外在本土说的和国内学到的太不同了，老美语速之快超过我当初的想象。计划用几年的时间练习听力。无数的时间练习口语。
前面移民多年的华人科学家，口语及其流畅（请不要和单一在国内练出来的比，不具备可比性），听力极好，但是美国教授party的时候，我们又变成小众的一群，笑话听不懂哇！
目前我个人观念完全改变了， 不认为不出国就可以把（英美式）英语学到可以上台面的地步。 至少我做不到，所以只能到美国了，并且住在美国人家里。
关于词汇，我想我的词汇就是极度专业化那种，生活中我天天要用，没有办法。
至于您说的报纸、新闻、美剧，恐怕未来二到五年，我没有时间去看，这里的华人有些看美国电视学英语，这是完全不同的概念，美国有线电视还真是贵。我看了之后，心愿就是但愿自己看过一个月，那语言、语速，太实用了——可是没有时间。
书面的东西，目前我的水平是办些活命的事情，比如开银行的账户，驾照，买了东西，去趟超市，在这个古老的大城市问路等等，看懂各类海报——阅读不完的东西太多了。 我也不认为在国内的练成的阅读的能力到了国外具体国家可以无敌，到了外国（任何英语国家）两天以后就自己明白了，他们的生活中的表述——口语、书面，和我们在国内的不同，需要相当时间去适应。
另外，中国人，绝大多数，肯定是学不好英语的，命里注定，任何东西能学好的都是少数人，包括英语这里留过学的都这样想了。如果我不来美国，一辈子也想不明白这个问题。
试想下：如果您听错半句话要在美国这等强烈的阳光下奔命两天而无所获，看错一个字，要签错一个手机消费计划白白扣掉一百多美元，看慢一个合同，一个月扣除25美元的账户费，搞上一个不公平的租约等，英语能不学好吗？
我的日本室友，听力极好，口语极差，差到我一听就知道他是日本人地步，越南女孩，加拿大四年，美国三年，口语流畅极了（当地的语速），荷兰女孩、slovakia律师（硕士阶段全英文教学），所以有比我们好多了，美国之间说的就太难了。
日本同学、韩国通过、泰国同学告诉我，在他们国家，学习英语的成本极高，所以看过美国极高的消费后（衣服、鞋子、手表、包除外），我在这里奉劝大家，务必珍惜本国的资源，在中国吃好，学好再来美国，我们学英语的成本和日本及美国本土比起来，太低了。 外教只管去网上找，一小时60元左右。
学英语不是我的目的，先在国内学基础的英语，再出国留学学点其他什么才好。
目前英语学法：生活上逼，工作中用，看专业书，上课，备考，听力靠每天上小班马马虎虎听下，口语考偶尔从别人嘴里捡来一句，每天在英语环境中泡十个小时左右，和家人中文说一小时汇报情况。
没有时间和机会系统学习什么东西了，遇啥算啥。三个月以后再看情况。
接下来还是多用英语写写东西，谢谢大家关心！

听力一定要解决，而口语靠在外国慢慢日积月累，时间越长越好。
疯狂英语： 我越来越觉得伟大的材料，1997年带领我开始学习英语，现今可以用耳朵吸收英语后，最喜欢的就是每周听上几句，听个十分钟。
刘毅一口气英语：和疯狂英语一样，有慢速有快速，几乎类似，需要耳朵吸收英语的能力。
走遍美国、新走遍美国、以及其他，一样，耳朵吸收，走遍美国是我在飞向美国的36小时航程中听过前十五课的，计划找个周末，听过一遍。
这些教程都很伟大，问题是学法，能用耳朵学最好，所以听力重中之重，怎么强调都不为过。
VOA special： 自己总是用1。5倍速听，现在2。0，所以感觉很难，一点也不比standard简单，ST也是要加速听的，因为知识点太广了，昨天听到一个说海上导航的，听了、看了，还是不懂，专业背景不足哇！

我不认为学英语有什么弯路，有什么方法，关于英语，天涯里漏屋老师、小兔子老师什么的讲的很透了，学时要够，一万个小时？——我想只是打个基础。具备出国学习、秒杀各类语言考试（非专业的）的水平，距离外国真实生活的实战差远了。
花时间纠结于方法、考虑毅力、考虑经济问题，很多人是学不起来的，我不认为能靠自己的学习能走出国门的人存在毅力和方法问题；也不认为国内有什么昂贵的英语学习机构，就像我在论坛遇上的众多练口语的人，多是三天打鱼两天晒网，因为免费和国内学费的低廉，无人珍惜这一切，如果知道我的日本朋友为了学英语花了多少银子，如何艰难的来到美国，如何工作一天，晚上九点回家，一遍做饭、一边抓住机会和我搭话练习口语，一直说到要冲澡睡觉，他们都会猛学的。
想想我们用了多久汉语，学习，然后用汉语学习各类知识，这个过程就是差距，不发达的英语国家是学英语，然后用英语学习各类知识。。。。。。。。
例如去年到现在，我被迫要写大量的邮件、文件，结果现在英文打字也飞快，还养成了用电脑敲英语笔记的习惯，这是有助于语言、用词精准的，同时，很多简单的、熟知的词，依然需要查询很多很多遍。
我再次声明自己不勤奋，只是在天涯几位老师的提示下发帖记录自己的感受，目前，我已经没有所谓学习英语的条件，也无所谓学英语的痛苦，只能没有选择的生活在英语环境中，只有遇上啥熟悉啥的条件。
真正的英语高手，在我每天睁开眼，身边到处都是，这是美国的大学城，常青藤盟校，在这个环境里只有我自己最差了。
所以只能学习最简单的句式、最简单的表达，在最快时间最容易说清楚自己意思的方法，其他的一切目前都是次要的。
再次声明，强烈欢迎并先感谢大家给我说说具体表达方式，有助于我吸收语言，这最宝贵因为您每一次回帖能让我记住一个句子。

您不会认为美国收费电视是可以从网络上看的吧？一个月N d的 费用，他们不会让你看见的。
我说的是美国的有线电视，我屋里有无线的，但是没有好天线，无字幕，而且发现字幕掉不出，客厅有个有线电视，很好，字幕也可调出，就是嫌远，楼上楼下跑，太累了。
这种收费的，我刚来看了几天，节目丰富，访谈、广告、辩论、还有很多很多节目，包罗万象，您想想国产剧和美剧的区别吧，但是语言是生活中的，语速很快，也很容易一看半天，吸收很多语言的。
换句话，您想每天听十个小时英语，太容易做到了。。。。。。。。。
这里学英语方便，有语境，可以听见真正他们生活中的语言，国内没有这个条件，我是说，您可以请一个外教一对一教你，但是您不可能请十个外教在你面前胡侃，这就是很大的一个区别。
但是我没有时间系统学习，我要上课、做题、考试以及在这里生存。这些需要通过英语进行。。。

谢谢啦，正按您说的做的，而且一直干这些事啊，就指望学时早日积累起来，这一年来，总是挂着耳机，在路上挺害怕安全问题的，也没有办法，近日坏消息：日本同学要走了，往后少个说英语的室友，几次出去玩和他一起，可以认识其他外国人，一起说说走走不知不觉就聊一整天。他走了，我得一个人住，太太太寂寞了。
得到好消息：这里教堂多爆了，打听到三个不同的教堂提供晚上吃饭和英语学习机会，一般就六到八个一起侃天，美国呆久的了信徒多是听听，外加房子边上一个学校提供免费esl（这个要注册，比较麻烦），昨日已经吃了顿爱心中餐外加打包带走，太开心了，还交了朋友。——确实要感谢上帝！
我在大学城住，周末总有人发帖子一起拼车出去玩什么的，看来往后要创造机会去把说的时间积累起来。

要考试啦，多多做题就是，中国四六级、考研这类无非考阅读而已，听力只是无关紧要的点缀，看掉二十公分、五十公分英语书籍，弄下真题，绝对秒杀！ ——我当初是用尺子量着练习阅读的。

要考试啦，多多做题就是，中国四六级、考研这类无非考阅读而已，听力只是无关紧要的点缀，看掉二十公分、五十公分英语书籍，弄下真题，绝对秒杀！ ——我当初是用尺子量着练习阅读的。

口语最近跟着盯着三个教堂学英语
周二的一个， 三个中国人，两个米国夫人，坐着聊天两小时。只谈英语。
今日，圣经学习；
明日，爱宴+英语讨论圣经+闲聊，一个米国老爷子+3大陆人+2香港人，除了我都是在美国数年的了。
内容：蹭饭+口语+打包把饭带走，感谢上帝！感谢众教堂、教徒无私对旅美华人数十年如一日的关爱！呵呵！
感觉这种座谈式的英语学习是我目前最需要的，国内难以做到，能做到也不知该什么价钱。
每周要保证参加两次以上。

博物馆,米国博物馆有世界各列强各列弱的国宝哇，木乃伊、诸多法老像、中国、埃及、罗马的石头雕塑！感谢，免费参观，学习，内容太多，难怪北京博物馆的来这里研究中国文物。真没有见过这样的。
计划有空就去看看，拍照，写心得， 学习人类的起源、中国、埃及、非洲、罗马、希腊、法国等诸多人类文明及宗教文化。 如果文物归还了，美国人民不是只有土著人可看了？

吃完饭是英语课，四个大陆人，偶身边是位美丽年轻的姑娘，daleware的财会硕士，拿全奖的，然后一位上海探亲的阿姨，一口流畅自然的英语，三个美国老师，其中两位，一位专职英语教师，一位业余教华人英语一生的老人。美国老师强调，美国的方式就是互动，所以，上课过程中，老师不停的问问题，我们必须依次不停的回答互动，穿插无数的幽默语言，从听力和口语的角度来说，太让我紧张了。

本周口语训练的时间是 教堂聊天课2+2h +， BBQ 4小时余，和室友、房东吹牛：1小时总是有的，共计9小时（包括别人说的时间）。工作中的话少，求精准简洁，不算。
从这个角度说，在口语进一步熟练后，朋友多起来，工作轻松点，可以练习更多。

今日遇上来做博士后的一个大姐和一个来做家属的学妹，她们两个有空就冲到教堂去上课，学生少，老师多，而且日韩的学生没有机会，和日本室友说起美国这种给华人服务的文化，日本同学扼腕痛惜，五天后，他就回国了，口语还是磕磕巴巴，发音怪异，一脸羡慕的看着我——日韩同学在这里确实更艰难。
有的人国籍真模糊：昨天交了一个朋友，约六十多岁？不知道。生于台湾，长于Malaysia半岛，73年漂泊到美利坚至今，现任妻是小他N岁的大傻洋妞，说几国语言，最差的是汉语，但是也可以算流畅（盘子、刀叉不会说），因想打乒乓球在米国找不到伴，家里的球台闲置多年，于是找上我，越好半月后去打乒乓球。
端午节（美国晚半天），来这混饭的多是***学生或学者，所以主很体贴，我吃到了热气腾腾的______大肉粽子！泪奔！ 吃完给三位美国老师解释粽子的起源，费了不少力气！端午节快乐！
房东昨晚叫我参加party，吃吃饭，肉全是烤的，顺序是：烤鸡翅、烤鸡腿、烤牛肉饼、烤牛肉坨子、烤牛肉香肠。。。。。。比偶一周吃得肉总和还多，受不了这样的！其他啥也吃不下了！

在遥远的135年前，***人飘扬过海来到美利坚诞生的摇篮—费城，于是，这里的教堂有了为华人提供英语教育、吃饭、宗教学习的传统，无论你是否是教徒，如果您愿意，可以把数个教堂排起来，每周去几次。同屋的日本同学当听我唾液四溅的讲诉这一切时，日本同学嫉妒了，羡慕了，不快乐了！
由于神学院有数位***同学在读，所以韩国同学、泰国妹妹、日本同学没有机会融入，连进门的时间都不知道，所以唯有我等华人：大陆人、香港人来此聚会、混饭、学英语。
奇怪的是难道美国老学者们忘记了日韩泰等国人民的存在？

华人真有趣，美国真有趣。。。。。

目前自己在语言上处境是住在美国人家里，他家有大狗两只，女儿女婿，回来很少，儿子一个，大人，儿子的哥们一个，每周聚会就出现，黑人教子三个（少年），清洁工一个，周末聚会，会有一群人过来，还有黑人一帮、修女一伙，马来籍台湾人现美国人一个，水平不高，名字记不住。如果我不是很忙，在家里胡侃的机会就很多。现在的实际情况是，一月内我要以工作为重，尽量适当控制口语练习时间每周在十小时内，干工作。 适应工作后，每周曾加交际时间以曾加口语练习时间，遇见会普通话的华人，还是以普通话交流为好。 不会普通话的就英语。————如此的语境，是我当初没有想到的，所以虽然校区有更便宜、更方便的房源，我依然决定，就在这个家庭里住着。
回帖中，日本学弟要回国，我们决定聚餐一顿，——他想吃龙虾，他家乡没咋有龙虾？！？！？——我家乡暴多，婚礼必吃大龙虾，日本海洋民族没有龙虾？不可思议！——和两个清新脱俗的泰国美眉，网上找了一圈，最后定下周三将是我来美国后的第一个自费的私人宴会，去oyster house 吃龙虾（不知道那地方有没有龙虾？）
缘分呐，我到美国的第一个朋友是日本人，我遇见的最早的泰国人，是二位高学历留学多年的美眉，英语好的出我意料，美眉漂亮的出我意料！意想不到！

今日的 BBQ，遇上八十年代出国的第一批人中的一位，俞大姐，八九年来美读博士，生化，做科研，然后嫁了美国老公，生两个漂亮女儿，然后考usmle，在宾州医院儿童精神科做医生。。。。。。。。。。。。绝对前辈啊，无论英语还是医学！！！仰视中，居然住在我一条街上。
两个女儿，上了中文学校，居然都能说中文，听得懂我的话，看来她老公要是在家听到他们说中文就郁闷了。。。。。。。。。。。

最近的开心事：

MY LIFE TODAY: I have kept Listening and shadow-exercise for 3 VOA sp for four hours on the beautiful lawn and under the blue sky,It's my happy hours,and due to I am single here and people rarely come together usually,So I have many time to learn,and read books,and learn English.Therefore,maybe the reason that people can learn morn in the US,is not that US have developed techniques,just due to people are alone here,When I had nothing to do and went to lab,I wet with two Spain girls also here,So they are alone,too.
Yesterday in the evening, I known that my English teacher Bill is a 80-year old man,and his fifth son got severe cancer in the neck,So Mr bill couldn't come here last night,I pray for Mr Bill and his family, and hope god bless them!

I have had learnt 256 English news, most of it are VOA SP,some ST,So I decided that deleted all of those news in my idaily,and download again and stored it again, and try to shadow-excise it for a while,I Think is exciting and I would enjoy it！ Just try it today，and I will download it from scratch in my lab，there is perfect highspeed broadband here.

没有值得羡慕的，我32岁到达美国本土，身边都是中科院、或相当顶级国内机构的科学家，他们有的40岁以上才到达美国。
而同时遇上很多很多在美国顶级大学求学多年的28岁以下的人，一位小女孩在新加坡读书12年，为避免新要求其成为公民的政策来美国读博士。。。。。。。
所以他人不值得羡慕，如果想好了，愿意学英语，都可以学好。
但是绝不是短时间可以解决的，我们一帮华人（除了我都是在美国十年以上，在常春藤盟校有教职的人，一半是美国的硕博士导）在一起的共识是：任何一种语言要能流畅与母语者交流，最少需要五年以上---还听不懂笑话！
他们的观点适合在那些首先有不错的基础，比如可以拿到邀请信，到达美国本土的，天天生活在英语环境中的人。
所以现在越来越觉得语言学习的艰难。
在国内尤其难，没有语境，缺少兴奋刺激，全部考试引导，一点点进步全是毅力、自律的比拼！！！
而在美国每日的刺激会让人学英语成为本能。前日在qq 上遇到一位号称国内最强英语角的一个qq群，入群测试了一下，群主没有流过学，确能很流畅的表达，在国内学习者的基础上，他确实优秀，有兴趣的人去找他测试一下，看看自己的实力。

idaily 越用越喜欢，美国宽带超级快，自己的实验室又比家里快了几倍，开始传些喜欢的材料听，截止今天： voa 时间达到491 tapehours ，到达500，再来记录一下。
sp听到太多，很多一遍可懂，不过受不了原始语速都是加速听1.3-1.6，通常1.5，速度不比st慢。
接下来发现st语速一点也不快，而且篇幅很短小，决定开始倾向于st，并且同时保证每周听完sp。
因为听力进步了很多，每篇新闻听懂、可以跟读、可以复述的速度越来越快，sp 已经吃不饱了。开始在复述sp的基础上，重点复述st。
开始大幅度加入儿童小说、儿童故事、儿童圣经故事、名著简写本、海量的演讲材料来听。

美国免费的这种武侠片让我明白，可能李连杰是在他们那里影响比较大的明星了，然后是李小龙。这种对白有个好处，在思维方式上和我们的文化相近，所以容易理解！
比如遇上女人卖春，比如夹菜给人家碗里，比如再要一晚米饭等等。。。。。。太有趣了，配上美国化，突然明白，西洋文化中的人不会做如此一些反应，所以还是有些怪异的说。。。。。

新来一女室友，印度女孩，记住了发音，不知道写法，现在经常这样，来商学院读博士，来美国第二天，今天一起参加BBQ，她和美国人没有语言障碍，女主人的女儿很喜欢和她闲聊。
很羡慕这姑娘的语言能力和与美国人交往文化差异也比中国人小，中国人即使语言障碍解决了，依然和美国人没有几句话好说。
再者就是话题问题，天天和老美一起跟多的是缺少他们喜欢的内容，其他一切反而不重要。印度女孩很文雅，温馨，所以也没有几句话，就先辞别闪人了，我要加班，也先告别了，这是我第一次先在大家的聚会中告别。

I found there are many free Chinese martial movie in some website in the US Yestoday,I think maybe the Jet Li is the most famous action movie star from China, of couse Bruce Lee is an America citizen.I watched the movie from several hours then figured out that those English dialogue near to the Chinese way of thinking,therefore I can master the most of the meaning of the words.
Such as the reaction to a prostitute, getting some food to others,refilling the bowl for somesone. It sounds very funny that the movies been dubbed with American language,suddenly it dawned on me, it is still very weird because America will not have the same response to those scenes.

Today a new roomate came here, she is a girl,came from India two days ago,I know the pronuaciation of her name ,but I don't know the character.She came to the US for her doctorate,she joined us in BBQ,and due to the girl know English,so she can chat with others freely.And the girl's major is finance.
However the girl is a bit little shy,She refuse to eat food,just drink a cup of tea,then bid farewell to us,then ,I also need to hurry up and get down to work, I quit ,too.

The girl is lovely and with a bit little shy,I like her, she plans to live here for three week then move to univesity city,I hope I grasp the any chance to talk to her,for practicing English.

It’s a nice day today,the temperature is not hight and comfortable,I want to write down some stories have happened those days.
about sevaral weeks ago,I met with a girl,Let me call her Morya, the girl was born in the province of Jiangxi in China, then went to Singapore to continue her education in National University of Singapore. The girl is very clever and got A in each course. Therefore,she got scholarship every term in Singapore, and she graduated from the unversity, according to the law in Singapore she have to work for Singapore for six years, two years later,she also have to become the citizen of Singapore. However the girl disliked the life in the country, she thought that the people in Singapore discriminate against the person from mainland in China.

At that time Morya got a boy friend who is a Chinese Singaporean, he is a typical Sinaporean,he not only is not high and strong, but also is not handsome.Of course,my friend is cleverer than the man and she have a better achievements every year.From the phase of master to the phase of doctor, the girl got scholarship every year. but the girl heard the boy's mother talked to her son that: the girl is a "mainland girl 大陆妹"，and don't marry her,she's only after your money and want to live in Singapore.and my friend became angry at that point, then she refused to become citizen of Singapore moved to England for a while,then to the US in 2006.
Morya can speak English well and fastly.of coure Chinese is also good.She is also extremely active, like to laugh loudly and speak fastly.But due to the life in Singapore, she also love alchohol very much, Morya live with her little brother together in the US, usually she like to cook some Chinese food for her lunch.

We all were a bit little drunk , it was very late, Edwin told us that his girlfriend has dumped him two months ago, and Morya also said to us her sad story in Singapore, and my story.
Silly!
It was late, we stayed there, and Morya slept in one bedroom, and Edwin slept in his room, I slept in the sofar in living room.

It's a nice day, I went outside to enjoy the wormth of sunshine to the CLARK PARK,when I arrived in the park,there are many stalls and venders there.
There are several tents and stalls along the sidewalk.There are lots of vegetables，fruits，farm pork，farm goat，farm eggs，home made breads，cookies ，home made blackberry juice，root beer，yogurt，goat milk，cheese，chocalates，and so on。Those verges and breads looked very fresh and delish.
I have never seen any farmers like them.those farmers looked polited and educated,some of them were wearing glasses and bow tie, the men were wearing the blue shirt and black suspender pants,some farmers have great beard and mustache.Those women looked just like gentlewomen,or educated ladies, some young girls looked genteel and courteous. It was my first time thought the white women is beautiful and courteous. Even I want to marry a woman like them.
At that time I met with my dear friend Morya, Miss Morya told me that those farmer are Mormons,they never touched electricity,never accepted mordern life and utensils. All of those food is organic and fresh,those breads,yogurt,joice and other deserts were homemade.
About those Mormon ladies,as fars as I am concerned,comparing with those white women in the city,they are courteous and genteel,and more beautiful.
But their stalls were occupying the sidewalk,why are there not ChengGuans in the us. That is so weird!
At last ,I took some pictures of those vendors and the goods,bought some home made food and fruits then went home.

中国就像一座繁忙的都市，美国好比中国农村。都市中诱惑太多，所以不能看透舍得之道的，学习时间给挤兑了。

July 22,2012, on Sunday
It's a nice sunny day today,I got up at noon,then went outside to bought some instant noodle to cooked and enjoyed it.
I had a great party with my three buddies in the evening yesterday,they were the girl Morya, two boys Jin and Edwin. We went to the apartment of Edwin to had a Korean BBQ together, and Edwin cooked the food for us.First I go to the roadside stands in the Clark Park.There were lots of American Mormons like to sell some farm food,such as home made bread,home made blackberry juice,cookies,cakes and root beer,vegies,milk,cheese,chocolates,and so forth. The Mormons like to live in the circumstances without mordern equipments,Therefore,Those food ,vegies and fruits were popular here.
Then Edwin and Jin went to a Korean supermarket to bought some Korean food in the afternoon,we came together and went to Edwin's apartment to had BBQ.
We got many huge mashroos from Mormons,tasted pretty good,and we prepare sliced beef,sliced pork,the Mormon's home made sausage,first Edwin toasted the meat and food on an electrical grill, next given us the cooked food, we dipped the meat with Korean seasoning,then put the meat into a leaf of lettus,then ate it. It tasted pretty amazing and it is completely different from the Korean food I ate before in China. Maybe the reason is the meat and Korean seasoning. I asked Edwin and Jin,they said it is not traditional Korean BBQ,but tasted similar to it.
We ate too much and drunk too much,We are all drunken,then danced together,then smoking together,and many old memories awoke in Morya's mind and she began to cried and huged Jin, and Jin is also very sad Morya's sob recall him lots of sad past event in his childhood.
Edwin left,I was here,I was listening to Morya's words,Even at that point, Morya was weeping bitterly,she also poured out her heart in English. I couldn't believed my eys.
At midnight, we went to a bar,and drunk continue,then Jin began to poured out his sad stories,and then we went back to aparment,played cards together untill 1 AM, In the end Jin took Morya and me home.
Jin was born in Korean,but went to the US when he was a boy,and Edwin was born in the US and grown up in San Francisco. They are American Koreans.

It's a nice sunny today.I went to the lab in the morning.
I just wanna to write some simple records about the dinner party we had in the evening tomorrow.
We had a nice dinner party yesterday.we went to the apartment of Edwin after work. Morya are keen on cooking and dinner party,so she propose that we should have Hot Pot party together.In the afternoon,Morya went to Chinatown to bought many food to prepare for the hot pot party. She bought some quails,frogs,lotus root,huge mashrooms,Chinese cabbage, bean seedling,beef,pork, tofu,fish tofu ,dumplings,shrimps,garlic, and so forth. Then Edwin ,Gloria and Morya have reached the apartment firstly.
Let me write something about the pretty girl Gloria, the girl was born in PILLA many years ago, she has a good figure and fair skin with a beautiful face the same as a little princess. During the first few days,I thought she is an American Korean,so Ididn't talk to her. And last night,when I asked Morya what is the English name of lotus root,she said 藕.
Then she asked me：Ben ，how long have you been in America from mailand?
It sounds a bit little weird but it is Mandarin,just sort of slowly. I said: Almost two months.
Glogia was surprised,then said: wow,why do you speak good english?
So I asked Gloria's name,and her hometown, she said: I was born in Pilly,and grown up here,now live with parents. She wanted to speak in Madarin, but she transfered to English when I answear her in English. Glogria is an American Chinese,her mother's hometown is the city of Fuzhou in Fujian provice, she went back to China for

I also left my mother when I was in high school untill now.

But Jin is a high and strong man,an American Korean doctorate student, also lives with his mother now.
After dinner, Morya and me said goodbye to Edwin and went home.

We had a nice dinner party yesterday.we went to the apartment of Edwin after work. Morya are keen on cooking and dinner party,so she propose that we should have Hot Pot party together.In the afternoon,Morya went to Chinatown to bought many food to prepare for the hot pot party. She bought some quails,frogs,lotus root,huge mashrooms,Chinese cabbage, bean seedling,beef,pork, tofu,fish tofu ,dumplings,shrimps,garlic, and so forth. Then Edwin ,Gloria and Morya have reached the apartment firstly.
Let me write something about the pretty girl Gloria, the girl was born in PILLA many years ago, she has a good figure and fair skin with a beautiful face the same as a little princess. During the first few days,I thought she is an American Korean,so Ididn't talk to her. And last night,when I asked Morya what is the English name of lotus root,she said 藕.
Then she asked me：Ben ，how long have you been in America from mailand?
It sounds a bit little weird but it is Mandarin,just sort of slowly. I said: Almost two months.
Glogia was surprised,then said: wow,why do you speak good english?
So I asked Gloria's name,and her hometown, she said: I was born in Pilly,and grown up here,now live with parents. She wanted to speak in Madarin, but she transfered to English when I answear her in English. Glogria is an American Chinese,her mother's hometown is the city of Fuzhou in Fujian provice, she went back to China for

I discussed the bible with an American old man for 3hours yesterday. And enjoyed a nice trip in the suburb of Philly in the afternoon and learned the bible with others for 3 hours. Then at dusk I took part in the BBQ of my landlord,and chatted with them.
Then I went to Clark Park to watched the outdoor drama, at that point,it was raining,I had to went home, next, I went to the living room, I found that my landlord have been having a seat there and watching the TV about 2012 London Olympic Games. The game of swimming and gymnastics were broadcasting, So I sat next to her and began to talked to her.
Because I am familiar with athletic swimming and American training equipment and this time American female gymnastic got good achievement,so we sat together and watched TV together and kept talking about the events together for a long time.
Tomorrow, I will write some details about the talk.

我心底以前一直认为学英语可以成功的人是千分之一，现在反观自己读书半生所见，认为更低，而我的这个所谓成功标准很低，只是秒杀书面考试，拿到offer走出国门。。。。。。。。而留学的人，人人都明白这是真正学英语的起点。
要按照漏屋的标准恐怕更低了。如果真是指的学英语成功率，作者真的很负责，花力气前，首先要明确，值得吗？
也是不止一次遇到过来人跟我说，先想好要不要学英语，然后再努力。
从我的个人经历和理解，对于中国人，掌握英语和能做导弹、能开刀、能做科学家绝对难度等同，就是一个真正的、能靠着吃饭的专业，绝不可能玩着玩着、不花力气就学好了。

我的两位师兄，以前在国内是最顶级医院的专家，在美国两年了，听力强不用说，开会说的英语，大师兄the、s，th的发音让我听着非常痛苦，二师兄说的英语难以成句，就是单词美国教授也经常听不懂， 我业务最差、年纪最小，但是由于语速快（慢于年轻老美聊天）、流畅（错误不提）、夹杂很多俚语，和教授没有大的语言障碍，教授七十多岁，瘦小，语速慢而正规，所以尽管二位师兄每次会议都要花很大力气，拿出打印完整的方案，我什么都没有，靠嘴皮子反复解释也混了两个多月。
教授很开心，说，招你的时候没有指望你能这样说英语，于是宽限我很多。

今日无意间发现细听复述过的voa special马上要过三百篇（加速听），决定完成300后再精听复述standard 三百篇，早期一天一篇，同时sp不断。九个月完成。
未来九个月我需达到的目标：

在cctv里面找些自己喜欢并且有连续性的报道多听，如南海问题、大雨、台风、干旱、大雪等等。。。。。同时复述下来。
九个月是300天左右，加上吃喝玩乐的时间，每天平均要完成2-3篇，一年才能完成1000篇。时间还是很紧，希望最后的6个月出现加速度。
同时要听完自己收集的一些其他听力材料作为精泛听复述材料，包括疯狂英语各版本、一口气英语、小说、圣经、听力高手、走遍美国、新走遍美国、无忧英语等等。。。。。。。。。。。。

今天晚饭，遇上室友印度小姑娘也做饭，她做米饭、炒蔬菜，我乘机吃了她半碗印度米饭和蔬菜， 从七点钟聊到九点多，边做饭、边吃边聊、然后洗碗洗锅。。。。。。。。
小丫头很可爱、饭做得很好吃，对中国的历史文化一无所知，于是我猛侃，最后认识到这是我的英语角，于是谈到中国食物，最后提到中国人吃狗的事情，我告诉她听说印度有豹子伤人，要是在中国豹子早给人吃了。
她说她母校有孔雀、野鹿什么的，我说在中国大学要是有小鹿肯定进了人的肚子，小姑娘开始反胃，然后我说有一小部分人吃狗肉，她想吐；然后我说了广东人吃猴脑，最后她开始跑、我拉着她说温州人开始吃鳄鱼尾巴。。。。。。。

今日开会，老板要我速出成绩，命老太太指导我，老太太说话古朴正规、语速慢、也啰嗦，我很喜欢，要赖着她两周搭话。
因时间关系，接下来缩减批量听力练习，更改接下来九个月的计划为：
听 每天路上、做饭时1-2小时不等，做手术或一人外出坐车时听2-小时。如果听美国之音需跟读、复述。
说 每天想办法说2小时左右（听的跟读也算其中），美国之音跟读算作其中，与人会话积累达1-5小时（游玩、聚会等），达不到的自己口述口头日记达到2小时
读 专业书+ 街头小报+街头免费书籍杂志等等
写 每周在自己的麦库写周记一篇，并且复述几次，每周见到朋友主动复述自己周末干的事情。
在美国的第一年还有9个多月，也就是至少270。
本年剩余九月的计划：

听力： 新闻听力积累从去年至少肯定不止500小时了，有计时的软件目前显示是583hours，现在每天听英语的时间越来越少，因为认识的美国人越来越多，聚会、聚餐、外出活动越来越多，经常要准备拿下耳机搭理人家。所以与美国人会话的机会越来越多，会话内容越来越多，纯粹听的时间越来越少。所以听力积累到1000小时的时候，是个门槛，看看自己听说的变化，同时美国之音看看到时有没有可能精听突破1000篇，再来做个总结。
读： 目前一直很被动，没有主动阅读，全部为工作和生活中的读物所累。
写： 写周记、日记， 写专业科技文章套母语科学家的模版。接下来本人将减少在这里发帖的时间，远离天涯，在一段时间左右闲暇时间来做个总结。

刚看你有这帖子，nice stories and you are a good story teller. it's obvious you're a hard worker and that's why i want to say a few things.
建议你在语法上多注意，争取避免眼前的一些错误。当然彻底不犯语法错误也是个长期工程，但只要你注意，就像你练口语一样，就会有明显扎实的...........
