There are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that it originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries.
Legend also says that St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine".
Other aspects of the story say that Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying him. In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine.
Gradually, February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. The date was marked by sending poems and simple gifts such as flowers. There was often a social gathering or a ball.
In the United States, Miss Esther Howland is given credit for sending the first valentine cards. Commercial valentines were introduced in the 1800's and now the date is very commercialised.
The town of Loveland, Colorado, does a large post office business around February 14. The spirit of good continues as valentines are sent out with sentimental verses and children exchange valentine cards at school.

Welcome to New Year. The conventional Happy New Year approach is to think of the New Year as something that happens outside of us. It is a good luck wish that the New Year, in some magical way, will bring us our heart's desire. We look to the New Year to make us happy.
Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. However, when we expect happiness to come to us from the outside we are usually disappointed. Happiness is not guaranteed by sunny weather, a raise in pay, a new car, a beautiful home or anything else of a material nature. External things are often possessed by very unhappy people.
Happiness does not come out of a New Year; it comes out of men and women. Life does not change when we hang a new calendar on the wall or when the clock strikes midnight and a New Year begins. The only way life will change for us is when we change ourselves.
This is Faith at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax. at the beginning of New Year, I’m reminded that the source of happiness is not in events happening outside of us; the source of happiness is within us. We cannot control the outside world but we can control our own thoughts and emotions. A new you will surely bring you a brand new year, happy new you!
Happy New Year! We find ourselves in the first couple of days of 2008, and we sincerely hope that the coming year is one in which you can make happen those wonderful things that you dream for yourself
It's a new day, a new hour, a new minute...
There is something exciting about the new..
It somehow gives us permission to move on from the old and begin fresh...As you begin this New Year – fresh, give yourself permission to let go of all that no longer serves you well.
Travel lighter on your journey with an open heart and feel alive. Make this the year that you live your Authentic Self feeling a sense of freedom like you never have before...
It's that time of year when each of us reflects on the previous year and look ahead to the New Year. As you look ahead to the New Year, ask yourself this important question from your Heart...

Good day, and welcome to the Christmas issue at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith.
Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.
No matter where you are or what you may be doing, Christmas offers us an opportunity to focus on peace on earth and goodwill to our fellow human beings.
In a world that seems not only to be changing, but even to be dissolving, there are some tens of millions who want Christmas to be the same. We want to hold on to the old customs and traditions because they strengthen our family ties,
So we will not "spend" Christmas, nor "observe" Christmas. We will "keep" Christmas--keep it as it is…in all the loveliness of its ancient traditions. May we keep it in our hearts that we may be kept in its hope.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. This is a beautiful new day, a day hopefully full of peace and goodwill in your life. Merry Christmas!
The sun is just rising in the morning of another day. What can I wish that this day may bring me? Nothing that shall make the world or others poorer, nothing at the expense of other men; but just those few things which in their coming do not stop me but touch me rather, as they pass and gather strength.
I wish that this day could bring me a few friends, who understand me, and yet remain my friends; I also wish that this day could bring me a work to do which has real value.
I wish that this day could bring me a mind unafraid to travel, even though the trail be not blazed, and I wish that this day could bring me an understanding heart.
I wish that this day could bring me a sight of the eternal hills, and the blue sea stretching to the horizon, and of something beautiful which the hands of men have made.
I wish that this day could bring me a sense of humor, and the power to laugh, a little leisure with nothing to do.
And I crave for a few moments of quiet, silent meditation in the morning of this day…
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. I also wish that this day could bring me the patience to wait for the coming of these things, with the wisdom to know them when they come, and the wit not to change this morning wish of mine.

Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.
Welcome to the most easily misunderstood season of all, winter, a beautiful season of intimacy and reflection. I’m Faith at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax.
Winter gives us the opportunity to stay inside and look outside, as we're not called outdoors to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Snuggle up in the sofa, put a blanket over you, have a cup of hot cocoa, and enjoy the observations on this precious season…
Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: It is the time for home.
During the winter I am content,or try to think I am. There is a wonderful joy in leaving behind the noisy city streets and starting out along the white road that leads across the hills. With each breath of the sharp, reviving air one seems to inhale new life. A peace as evident as the sunshine on the fields takes possession of one's inner being. The trivial cares are driven away by the first sweep of wind that comes straight from the mountains. The intense silence that broods over the snow-bound land is a conscious blessing from the nature.
Sometimes our fate resembles a fruit tree in winter: Who would think that those branches would turn green again and blossom, but we hope it, we know it.
Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. Love is a Universal emotion, the goal we all seek, the prize that can make our lives complete and whole. Love is both timeless and, in too many instances, transient. We all believe, if only because we must, that love can be found. Some of us - maybe most of us - have discovered it can also be lost easily…
If I could take this moment forever, Turn the pages of my mind To another place and time, We would never say goodbye.
If I could find the words, I would speak them, Then I wouldn't be tongue-tied, When I looked into your eyes, We would never say goodbye.
If I could stop the moon ever rising, Day would not become the night, I wouldn't feel this cold inside, And we would never say goodbye.
I wish that our dreams were frozen, Then our hearts would not be broken, When we let each other go...
If I could steal this moment forever, Paint a picture-perfect smile, So our story stayed alive, We would never say goodbye.
I release any unpleasantness from the past and let it sail away. I envision it going through the mists of my memories, over the horizon, and out of sight. Love rushes in to fill any empty places within my heart or mind. Now I am free to do what is before me and free to do it better than ever before. I am free to enrich my life and everything concerning me.

There is a place deep within each one of us that is peaceful and serene. This place is known as your Essence...
If you've ever wondered what it feels like to connect with your Essence I'll give you a hint right here at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. As a matter of fact, you've been there many times.
You experience your Essence when you witness a beautiful sunset over the ocean... that feeling of being lost in the horizon as time stands still. Or when you sit quietly in meditation and feel your mind letting go... surrendering into the space between your thoughts.
You've touched your Essence when you blissfully engage in your favorite hobby and suddenly you've lost track of time. You've known your Essence when you've been moved to tears from listening to an artist compose music.
You've experienced your Essence when you've listened to your Intuition and something purposeful has occurred because you trusted yourself.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, and I’m Faith. One of the most rewarding aspects of connecting to your Essence is the feeling of deep inner peace. It's a feeling so unique unto itself and you know you wouldn't trade it for anything.
Spirituality is an inner fire, a mystical sustenance that feeds our souls. The mystical journey drives us into ourselves, to a sacred flame at our center. The purpose of the religious experience is to develop the eyes by which we see this inner flame, and our capacity to live its mystery. In its presence, we are warmed and ignited.
Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. This poem is dedicated to the most wonderful man I met on the internet. I never planned on falling in love with someone on the net, but he captured my heart and stirred my soul. We have been in love for months now and I love him more than ever. Sometimes the best things in our lives come unlooked for . . .
I sit here quietly and watch the sun set, Thinking of someone that I've never met. I wonder: does he think of me too? Needless to say I am thinking of you.
Wanting to hold you, to see your face, and you take me away to a better place. You feel so right, too good to be true, I just can't stop thinking of you.

Welcome to autumn at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith.
Autumn is easily my favorite time of the year. The days have cooled down, the leaves have turned yellow, and the world is busy preparing herself for winter. There's something magical about the clear brisk days, the first smell of the woodstove or the fireplace, the first frost, the canning of the late fruits and vegetables, the pumpkin and cider stands on the roadways.
There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen. Fallen leaves lying on the grass in the November sun bring more happiness than the daffodils.
School has started, and there's newness in the air. Even though the season is the precursor to winter, somehow, the world knows that winter is necessary, and the long preparation for the cold of winter--the preparation that is autumn--is a beautiful, necessary part of the world.

Think about the last time you felt a negative emotion: like stress, anger, or frustration. Were you able to think as you were going through that negativity? Today let me show you a simple but effective exercise to deal with a negative emotion.
The next time you find yourself in the middle of a very stressful time, or you feel angry or frustrated, stop!Whatever you're doing, stop and sit for one minute. While you're sitting there, completely immerse yourself in the negative emotion.
Allow that emotion to consume you. Allow yourself one minute to truly feel that emotion. Take the entire minute, but only one minute, to do nothing else but feel that emotion.
Once you've allowed yourself to be totally immersed in the emotion and really feel it, you will be surprised to find that the emotion clears rather quickly. If you feel you need to hold on to the emotion for a little longer, that is ok. Allow yourself another minute to feel the emotion.
When you feel you've had enough of the emotion, take a deep breath, as you exhale, release all that negativity with your breath.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. By allowing that negative emotion the space to be truly felt, you are dealing with the emotion rather than stuffing it down and trying not to feel it. You are actually taking away the power of the emotion by giving it the space and attention it needs. When you immerse yourself in the emotion, and realize that it is only emotion, it loses its control. You can clear your head and proceed with your task.
Meditation is when you focus your attention to help you feel calm, relaxed and stress-free. Meditation gives you a clear consciousness about yourself as a person and a clear understanding of your life.
Hi there, and welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. Life is going on and on, and it's carrying us with it as it goes. I hope that you're able to pay close attention to the journey and get all you can out of it, enjoying all these moments that you've been given along the way. . . .
Life is the experience of being you; no one can ever be someone other than who they are...
The beauty found in each and every person is the essence of life...Simply, you are who you are and for whatever time you have to be, you must not try to shadow yourself, but, rather, express yourself...let your spirit guide you!
All you need is deep within you,it is an inner fire waiting to unfold and reveal itself. All you have to do is be still and take time to seek what is within, and you will surely find it.
When we were born, we were programmed perfectly. We had a natural tendency to focus on love. Our imaginations were creative and flourishing, and we knew how to use them. We were connected to a world much richer than the one we connect to now, a world full of enchantment and a sense of the miraculous.
So what happened? Why is it that we reached a certain age, looked around, and the enchantment was gone?
Because we were taught to focus elsewhere; We were taught to think unnaturally; We were taught a way of looking at the world that contradicts who we are;We were taught that things like grades, being good enough, money, and doing things the right way, are more important than love.
Love is what we were born with;Fear is what we learned here. The spiritual journey is the relinquishment, or unlearning of fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts. Love is the essential fact. It is our ultimate reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life.
Meaning doesn't lie in things. Meaning lies in us. When we attach value to things that aren't love -- the money, the car, the house, the prestige -- we love things that can't love us back. We are searching for meaning in the meaningless.
This is Faith from Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax. Love is the intuitive knowledge of our hearts. It's a "world beyond" that we all secretly long for. An ancient memory of this love haunts all of us all the time, and beckons us to return.
Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet.
Welcome to the 5-minute vacation at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith.
Begin by taking a nice, deep, cleansing breath in, and as you exhale, release all the stress, tension and strain from your day. Breathing as you relax, relaxing as you breathe…
Imagine now that you are walking down a path, a path leading to a beautiful, tropical sandy beach, the air is cool, as it gently brushes by your face. As you walk along the ocean’s shore land, you feel the warm sand between your toes, just stop, you see a canoe, a chaise longue beneath a blue umbrella, go there now, sit down, stretch and just relax.
As you hear the ocean’s wave’s lullaby in you, you move deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation, breathing as you relax, relaxing as you breathe, gently hearing the soft wind whispering through the palm trees; as you relax, feeling so serene, so calm, and peaceful, feeling the warmth of the sun as it nourishes your entire body, relaxing, releasing, and letting go…
Breathe into this place, deep within, so serene, so peaceful, and know that you can return to this place whenever you wish, this is your place of peace.
It’s time now to return from your journey, begin to gently bring yourself back, beginning to feel your hands and your feet, and noticing your surroundings, bringing yourself back, feeling refreshed, enlightened, and ready to continue your day with a new sense of awareness.
When times become difficult (and you know they sometimes will), remember a moment in your life that was filled with joy and happiness. Remember how it made you feel, and you will have the strength you need to get through any trial.
When life throws you one more obstacle than you think you can handle, remember something you achieved through perseverance and by struggling to the end. In doing so, you'll find you have the ability to overcome each obstacle brought your way.
When you find yourself drained and depleted of energy, remember to find a place of sanctuary and rest.
Take the necessary time in your own life to dream your dreams and renew your energy, so you'll be ready to face each new day.
When you feel tension building, find something fun to do. You'll find that the stress you feel will dissipate and your thoughts will become clearer.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. When you're faced with so many negative and draining situations, realize how minuscule problems will seem when you view your life as a whole--and remember the positive things.
My mind has a vast storage of memories. What’s incredible is that, when I recall any memory no matter how trivial, it has the same effect on my brain as experiencing that event for the first time right now. My brain does not know the difference between now and the memories of yesteryear.
Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. Here is our latest program, a humble effort offered to you in the hopes that you'll find something here that is worth your while, something that moves or inspires or motivates you in very positive ways.
It's not easy... loving yourself unconditionally, because we've learned to judge ourselves...
We seem to be driven to find what we perceive as "the missing piece" in our lives as if we are flawed, or not good enough. Somehow enough never seems like enough and we live our lives in a constant and never ending search which leaves us exhausted.
What we forget are the sweet moments of being present with ourselves like we are when watching a sunset.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. Today, I’m inviting you to take time to be present within yourself, dwell in your heart space, and give yourself a well deserved break from striving and struggling...
Just be in the present moment and allow yourself to stop searching for more and to notice how much you already have inside.
Everyday we’re preoccupied with obligations and responsibilities under great pressures from others and from ourselves, and what we truly ignore or forget are ourselves. From today on, let’s start to love ourselves, unconditionally!
Often we start looking for love in all the wrong places. For some reason many of us believe that love actually resides outside of us, when really it resides within us. If as a starting point, you make the decision to love and accept every aspect of yourself, the good, the bad and the ugly; you will find that love will naturally begin gravitating towards you. Not only that, you will begin to see love and beauty in all things.
I remember quite clearly now when the story happened.
The autumn leaves were floating in measure down to the ground, recovering the lake, where we used to swim like children, under the sun was there to shine. That time we used to be happy. Well, I thought we were.
But the truth was that you had been longing to leave me, not daring to tell me. On that precious night, watching the lake, vaguely conscious, you said: Our love story is ending.
The rain was killing the last days of summer; you had been killing my last breath of love since a long time ago. I still don't think I'm gonna make it through another love story. You took it all away from me.
And there I stand, I knew I was going to be the one left behind. But still I'm watching the lake, vaguely conscious, and I know my life is ending.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. When I first heard the name of the story: Lake of Autumn, I knew I would love it. This is me: a sentimental woman. Here to those who are already in love or who are seeking love, cherish your love!
There lies in the heart of every man and woman a quiet hunger:a longing for an earth shaking significance. It can be heard in the quiet, most unedited times like when our head hits the pillow at night. As the pressures of the day fade away the voice catches our attention: “I was meant for more than this, there has got to be something more.”
Many people have learned to accept a life of quiet resignation, committed to maintaining the status-quo. But still, in the times we least expect it, we hear that distant call again: a call for meaning, purpose, passion, significance. It continues to haunt us, to stalk us, and as we try to silence it with reason and maturity we find that indeed, it is a fire within our bones and it will not yield.
Our suspicions are correct. There is a larger story and we have a role to play in it. It has been said that what a man does during his life shall echo throughout eternity.
If you are ready to find your purpose, find the voice. Go back to the places that you have heard it most clear. For some it comes in the early morning, before the cares of the day have drowned them out. For others it comes through music, or movies, or books, or it is found on a walk through the woods or on the side of a mountain.
This is Faith at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax. Find the voice again and listen, allow it to stir you up again, and then begin to move in the direction it calls.

Hi, welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax. I’m Faith.

It's very easy to forget to relax during our hectic days and nights, during the time when we're constantly trying to get things done. So many of us are spending so much time on our jobs and our extra tasks in life that we tend to forget to slow down and reassess what we're doing and why.
So take a deep, slow breath. No, really--go ahead. Take a deep, slow breath, taking in as much air as you can as slowly as you can. Feel your lungs fill, and then hold the breath for five to ten seconds.
Let your breath out slowly, feeling the stress leave your body as you exhale. The hurry and the stress can ride out of your body and mind in the air that you breathe out, and if you can allow your mind to focus on the breathing, you can slow down those thoughts that are running around in your mind at about a million miles an hour.
Take in another deep breath, slowly and surely. Hold it for five to ten seconds, and then exhale slowly…slowly…slowly…
There are many important things in your life that you need to take care of, but if you take the time to relax and treat yourself well, you will find that these few minutes of relaxation can provide a huge benefit for you.
So take another deep breath, very slowly, and hold it in. Release it slowly and feel the tension leave your body with the air. If you do this ten to fifteen times, you'll find yourself feeling energized, relaxed, and in a more positive state of mind.
Learning to relax is the greatest gift we can give ourselves, the benefits of taking a few minutes of our busy day to relax are many, relaxation brings us peace of mind, a calm emotional state of being, improved health, increased energy, and far less stress held within the body.
How often do people begin to get close to realizing their dreams, to changing their lives, and they hit a "stop sign"? Maybe they "stop" because there isn't enough money to take the next step, or they are afraid to leave the certain safety and security of their current job to change careers - the fear of the unknown. What will happen when you cross the boundaries that have been ingrained into your thinking?
Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. Today I would like to bring up a new concept “stop, and then move forward”. The word Stop means do not go progress - do not move forward - immediately discontinue the action at hand. When we were children, "stops" were given to us for our safety and well being. But, now that we're grown up, how many of us still use "stops" as a safety net? What devices that were used to keep us safely within our boundaries are we hanging on to that prevents us from advancing?
When you hit a stop, you have a two-step choice: first, stop, do not move forward, do not pass go, stay with the familiar and remain at status quo. Then, find that little nudge, that hand in the small of your back, which gently pushes you to take the first step beyond your present boundaries, for with each step you take, you are that much closer to achieving your goals and realizing your dreams.
Try to look at all the stop signs, and obstacles in your life as positives. They are opportunities to push your limits, and find a way to move forward. They are momentary pauses on the path to success!
Difficulties arise in the lives of us all. What is most important is dealing with the hard times, coping with the changes, and getting through to the other side where the sun is still shining just for you.
It takes a strong person to deal with tough times and difficult choices. But you are a strong person.
It takes courage. But you possess the inner courage to see you through.
It takes being an active participant in your life. But you are in the driver's seat, and you can determine the direction you want tomorrow to go in.
Hang in there... and take care to see that you don't lose sight of the one thing that is constant, beautiful, and true: Everything will be fine---and it will turn out that way because of the special kind of person you are.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. So...beginning today and lasting a lifetime through---Hang in there, and don't be afraid to feel like the morning sun is shining...just for you.
This poem is about someone whom I deeply cared about. The feelings were never returned, but I learned that with or without his love, I could make it and always remain strong and happy.
Words of wisdom come to my ears,
Telling me what I know in my heart,
But never wanted to hear.
With the truth finally said and out in the open
for me to plainly see,
I wonder why I can love so deeply
but never had that love returned back to me.
I confessed the feelings that I held inside for so long,
But with his soft- hearted rejection,
I realize I have to be strong.
With tears that want to flow from my eyes,
I feel that my heart,
along with my composure, slowly dies.
While this dramatic side is showing through
with my ability to question and reason,
I think I may have found something in me
that I can believe in.
Love hurts . . .
That's what they all say,
But I will love again
when all this pain and sorrow goes away.
So I sit and think of all the things this situation has cost,
And I realize that nothing very important has been lost.
Instead, a learning experience has come from all this.
I've learned that hardly anything is more important

Imagine that your feelings are a child within. If you ignore this child - by ignoring your feelings - this child feels abandoned. Our refusal to feel and take responsibility for our own pain is an inner abandonment and results in anxiety, depression, or inner emptiness.
Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. Learning to manage the pain of loneliness is essential to discovering your passion and purpose. There is no way of managing loneliness without a deep and personal connection to a spiritual source of love and wisdom. We cannot manage loneliness from our mind alone.
It is our child within: our feeling self that has the blueprint for what has meaning for us, for our passion and purpose. Each of us comes to this planet with a deep purpose to express, and when we don't express this purpose, we end up feeling empty and depressed. Yet we cannot discover this purpose when we keep a lid on our feelings.
You will find deep meaning in your life when you decide to open to and learn from your feelings of loneliness rather than continue to shut them down. And you will open to these feelings only when you do not feel alone inside due to experiencing the love and wisdom of your spiritual Guidance. Opening to divine Love and opening to your feelings will bring you the fullness, joy, passion and purpose that are the yearnings of your soul.
Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. How often do we come to a place in life where we feel there is no hope, no purpose for going on, no anything to live for? Some of us come to this place often while others just visit once in a while. But I am sure, most of us have been there one time or another.
During such times, the pain is intense, the fear is beyond comprehension and the confusion is great. What do we do at such times? Where do we go? Who do we ask for help? Where do we turn?
But there is always hope, always help if we can clear our heads, still our minds and listen to the deep calm voice that comes from somewhere deep within us. This voice has always been there and it will continue to be there. All we have to do is listen…
By being quiet within and listening to the guidance that comes from our soul, we will be led to take the right actions, meet the right people, ask the right questions and find the perfect solution to the problem which haunts us.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. All you have to do is try it for yourself. You'll be amazed how seemingly impossible problems disappear as the mists before the morning sun.

I like the subtle fresh green budding from the branches of the tree -- the herald of spring, ushering in the dawn...
I like the subtle flow of cloud that makes the sky seem even more vast, azure and immense...
I like the subtle wind. In spring, it steals a kiss on my cheek; in autumn, it caresses my face; in summer, it brings in cool sweet smell; in winter, it carries a crisp chilliness...
I like the subtle taste of tea that lasts long after a sip. The subtle bitter is what it is meant to be...
I like the subtle friendship that does not hold people together. Instead, an occasional greeting spreads our longings far beyond...
I like the subtle longing for a friend, when I sink deeply in a couch, mind wandering in memories of the past...
Love should also be subtle, without enslaving the ones fallen into her arms. Not a bit less nor a bit more...
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax. I’m Faith.
Subtle friendship is true; subtle greetings are enough; subtle love is tender; subtle longing is deep; subtle wishes come from the bottom of your heart...
There are times when we are faced with illnesses, disorders, disabilities some type of tragedy that causes us to lose contact with ourselves and the world in which we live. Our happiness begins to fade and our heart begins to grow heavy. This affects the way we think, live, feel and the way we look at life.
Welcome to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax, I’m Faith. None of us can be happy all the time. During times of tragedy, it is natural and even beneficial to be sad, but not to hold unhappy, anger or any negative emotion that takes control. We must heal ourselves emotionally and spiritually.
Talk with optimistic and encouraging people for they bring a sense of hope into the world, a new meaning to life. They help you see past the clouds on a glooming day, they bring sunlight everyday.
Happiness is when you are with people who love you for who you are, this is the true meaning of love and friendship. Each day you are reborn with love and
joy when you realize that you have people by your side that care.

A friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out
Sometimes in life, you find a special friend, someone who changes your life just being part of it; Someone who makes you laugh until you can’t stop; Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world; Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it.
When you’re down, and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirits and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full; Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times, and the confused times.
If you turn and walk away, your forever friend follows; If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on; Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be ok.
This is Faith at Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax. I do hope this online radio program could be your forever friend. At the end of today’s program, please allow me to say: thank you for dropping by.
It's quiet. It's early. The sky is still black. The world is still asleep.
In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The calm of solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human race.
The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made and deadlines to be met.
For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day's demands. It is now that I must make a choice. I'm free to choose, and so I choose…
I choose love ..No occasion justifies hatred; No injustice warrants bitterness. I choose joy ...I will refuse the temptation to be cynical... the tool of the lazy thinker. I choose peace ...I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live. I choose patience…I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of clenching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage. I choose gentleness…Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle.

What would you do if you get lost? Well, my answer is pretty simple, Listen to Your Heart.
Your Heart is a bridge and it is the source of your connecting to the intimacy with all of life. This deep connection within your Heart is what fulfills you in life. It is here, in your Heart, where you know and feel love.
Deep within the Heart of each one of us there is a voice of Knowing, a voice of Truth. This Truth, this Knowing, will never fail you nor will it ever fail me. You can trust this.
In those moments when we listen and follow our intuition, our inner wisdom, we are profoundly empowered. As a matter of fact, the greatest benefit to me personally has been the joy, courage, passion, unconditional love and self acceptance I have come to know by listening and living from my Heart.
You’re listening to Faith Radio Online-Simply to Relax. I’m Faith. Remember: Whenever you feel lost, just listen to your heart. Things will become simple, and your heart will lead you to find the truth.

The 57-year old is dating a 36-year old. "Usually women that are older are married. They have multiple children and they don't really like to have a lot of fun, the ones that I've met. While an age difference doesn't necessarily mean trouble for a couple, there could be age-related problems. 女人对老男人感兴趣是因为他们看上去更成熟、自信。这种吸引力可能源于女人缺乏父爱。尽管年龄差距不一定会导致情侣或夫妻之间的矛盾,但是年龄差距过大也会产生一些问题。
A few fraternity brothers needed to fill a science requirement in order to graduate, so they spent weeks studying for the final.
The day of the exam arrived and they were more than ready for the test. The teacher pulled out a chart, and on it were different pictures of bird's legs. The teacher said, "This is your exam. Name these birds by their legs."
After ten minutes one boy stood up, absolutely furious, and slammed the paper down on the teachers desk. "Dammit!" he hollered. "You knew I needed to pass this exam to graduate. How could you do this to me?"
The guy begins to leave the room and the teacher yells at him, "Hey you, boy, what's your name?" The student pulls up his pants, revealing his legs, and says, "I don't know sir. You tell me."
We often get in situations when we take decisions without a second thought and this is the right moment to find out what they mean.
What would you do first if you were in a situation where: 如果你碰到以下的情况,你会先做哪样?
The baby is crying.
The clothes are hanging outside and it has started to rain.
The water is running from the tap.
The doorbell is ringing.
The phone is ringing.
Think about what you will do first, then second and so on.
Each action reflects the priorities that you have set in your life.
For example if the first thing that you did was to answer the phone then your biggest priority in life would be your career and job. Similarly if the fourth thing that you did was to attend to the baby then your fourth priority would be your family.
Take a look at the following table to see which priority corresponds to which action.
Attend to the baby 照顾孩子 ————–> Family 家庭
Pick up the clothes 收拾衣服 ————–> Sex 性
Switch the tap off 关水龙头 ————–> Wealth 财富
See who is at the door 开门 ————–> Friends and relatives 朋友与亲人
Answer the phone 接电话 ————–> Career and job 事业
How accurate were your results? Leave us a note.
A question often asked is: What are the marks of an educated man? It is plain that one may gain no inconsiderable body of learning in some special field of knowledge without at the same time acquiring those habits and traits which are the marks of an educated gentleman. An education will make its mark and find its evidences in certain traits, characteristics, and capacities which have to be acquired by patient endeavor, by following good examples, and by receiving wise discipline and sound instructions.
These traits or characteristics may be variously described and classified, but among them are five that should always stand out clearly enough to be seen by all men.
The first of these is correctness and precision in the use of the mother tongue. When one hears English well spoken, with pure diction, correct pronunciation, and an almost unconscious choice of the right word, he recognizes it at once.
A second and indispensable trait of the educated man is refined and gentle manners, which are themselves the expression of fixed habits of thought and action. “Manners make the man,” wrote William of Wykeham over his gates at Winchester and at Oxford.
A third trait of the educated man is the power and habit of reflection. Human beings for the most part live wholly on the surface or far beyond the present moment and that part of the future which is quickly to follow it.
A fourth trait of the educated man is the power of growth. He continues to grow and develop from birth to his dying day. His interests expand, his contacts multiply, his knowledge increases, and his reflection becomes deeper and wider.
A fifth trait of the educated man is his possession of efficiency, or the power to do. The mere visionary dreamer, however charming or however wise, lacks something that an education requires.
Given these five characteristics, one has the outline of an educated man. That outline may be filled by scholarship, by literary power, by mechanical skills, by professional zeal and capacity, by business competence, or by social and political leadership.
Before you sign a lease or renew your lease, take the time to talk to your landlord(n.房东) and try negotiating. Oftentimes if you are willing to sign a longer lease, your landlord may be willing to reduce your monthly rent. If he or she doesn't seem receptive(adj.善于接受) to lowering your monthly rent, try getting him or her to include utilities(n.公用工程) or parking in your rent.
2.Have Roommates
A foolproof (adj.万无一失的)way to save money on rent is to have a roommate or two. Take advantage of Craigslist or Roommates.com and find a couple roommates. Living with roommates is much cheaper than renting your own studio or one bedroom apartment.
Find out if your landlord will give you a rent reduction(n.减少) if you help him or her find a new tenant(n. Sometimes landlords will reduce your rent for a month if you help them fill a vacant(adj.空的) apartment.
Make your apartment feel like a home by decorating frugally(adv. If you enjoy photography, grab your camera and go take some pictures. Then use them as decorations around your apartment. Or, if you enjoy pottery(n.陶艺), showcase(v. 展示在陈列柜里面) your creations in your apartment.
When you start the process of furnishing your apartment, take advantage of sites such as Freecycle or Craigslist to find free or cheap furniture. Also, reach out to family and friends who may be trying to get rid of their unwanted furniture. There is no reason to buy new furniture for your place when you can save money by taking advantage of other people's unwanted couches, chairs, tables, or whatever else you may need.
Soccer is her passion.
Have a passion for something: 酷爱…, 热爱... He had a passion for music. I have a passion for my online Radio program. You may have a passion for her, but it is not love.
This boy I’m seeing is a little bit shy, but I still like him overall. I still like it overall: 意思是整体上你还是喜欢的(有部分你不喜欢的,部分你喜欢的,整体你还是喜欢的) This idea sounds a little bit crazy, but I still like it overall. My job requires working extra hours, but I still like it overall.
Overall: adj. We have finished overall homework. We did an overall consideration of the matter at last.

I’ll be your friend by
all Means”, “He’ll come by all means”, 那么“By all means”究竟是什么意思呢?
A:Could you help me with my English?
B: By all means.
A: You’ll pick me up at the airport tomorrow, will you?
B: I’ll make it by all means.
好办得很呢,在“have some issues”后面加个介词”with”,就行了:
I have some issues with my boss lately.
Janet has some issues with her parents.
如果你对某事有看法,不满,可以在“have some issues”后加个介词“on”或者”about”,
She has some issues on her new job.
We have some issues about our welfare policy.
Faith, I do have a big issue on your teaching style.
He is a stubborn child.
Facts are stubborn.

They are determined to persevere in the fighting against corruption.
那么,Persevere的名词形式是:perseverance, He’s a man having powers of endurance and perseverance.
He insisted on his demand.
He insists on discipline in the classroom.
She insisted on leaving at once.
