我周五可以调休吗？
“请假”可以用ask for leave，具体到几天的假可以说ask for XX day's leave/off。
“休假”前面直接用take/have，如果是写邮件比较正式地请假，可以用request。
“休……的假”可以用一段时间+off表示，3 days off，表示三天假，请一上午/下午假，a morning/an afternoon off；
Lieu /lju:/ 这个词来源于法语，原意为“位置，长度”。in lieu of = instead of，是“代替”的意思，leave/off in lieu 可以理解为是替换的休假，也就是调休了。
➤例句：
I need to request 3 days off from May 4th to May 7th.
我需要在5月4日-7日请三天假。
Can I have a day off for leave in lieu ?
我可以调休一天吗？
I'm feeling quite ill today. I don't think I can make it to work today. I need to call in sick.
我今天感觉非常难受，我觉得我可能上不了班了。我得打个电话请假了。
quite ill=very sick，表示生病严重
make it在口语中指“成功做某事”，有manage to do sth的意思；
call in sick是一个固定搭配，专门指“打电话请病假”。

Head off指“去往”，去某个地方，后面加上to，比如可以回答：

你是跟团游的还是自助游？
Guide指的是"导游"，跟着导游走，可以理解为跟团游，也可以说guided tour。一般跟团游是一价全包的，可以说all-inclusive。
相对的，包含早餐和晚餐两顿饭的叫做half-board（半食宿），只包含住宿（提供早餐）的就称为B&B，指的是bed and breakfast。

我一价全包去美丽的乡村婺源玩了一趟。
This is a holiday of a lifetime.
这个假期可以说是有生之年系列了。
形容某件事是of a lifetime，中文可以对应到“有生之年”，就是说非常难忘非常好了，它尤指一段经历或机会，所以我们也可以用在这句话中：
It's a chance of a lifetime.
这是个千载难逢的机会。
