Xiaohua：I’ve been reading news about the China-US relations.

Xiaohua：Zhao Lijian, Foreign Ministry spokesman, told reporters, “We would like to tell the US once again that China is standing by, and the Chinese People's Liberation Army will never sit idly by. China will take resolute responses and strong countermeasures to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,”
小华：外交部发言人赵立坚告诉记者:“我们想再次告诉美国，中国正严阵以待，中国人民解放军绝不会坐视不管。中国将采取坚决回应和强有力的反制措施，捍卫主权和领土完整。”
Xiaohong：If she dares to go, then let’s wait and see.

Xiaohua：Yes. Let's wait and see. The Weibo post “Preparing for war” could be a warning over Taiwan.

She is US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She is second in line to the presidency and would be the highest ranking US politician to visit Taiwan since 1997.

Pelosi has been a staunch critic of China throughout her more than three decades in Congress. So it's important to show support. And I hear that the visit is somewhat about The CHIPS for America Act, but it's unproven.

The timing is very sensitive because this visit coincides with China's celebration of the Aug 1 anniversary of the founding of the people's Liberation Army.
