我们先看两个例句：
①Please send it by Friday.
最晚周五发给我
（Friday is the deadline）
(周五是截止日期)
②Please send it before Friday.
周五之前发给我
（Friday is too late. I need it in advance of Friday）
(周五就太晚了，最迟周四晚上)
这里我们把by和before放在一起来比较一下它们两个词的区别
来理解它们正确的用法
1️⃣If you want the job to be ready on Friday morning, you would say
如果你要求在周五早上的时候工作是完成了的，你应该说
Please do this before Friday
2️⃣If you need it to be done either before or during Friday, you would say
如果你要求工作在周五或之前完成，你应该说
Please do this by Friday
In other words, using by is inclusive, it means do this on any day up to and including the day specified. Using before is non inclusive, it means that I expect it to be done when I arrive on Friday morning.
换句话说，用by是包括的，它的意思是干什么在某天之前或者包含那天。用before是不包含的，意思是我希望我周五早上一来你的工作是做完了的。
“Before+日期”不包括给定日期。这意味着该行为应该在给定日期之前完成。另一方面，“By+日期”指某一特定行为应该在给定日期之前或当天完成，而不是之后。
