get in
这是一个比较口语化的表达，在日常对话中很常见。在《朗文当代高级英语辞典》中有“被录取”的意思，英文释义为 to be allowed to be a student at a university, college etc。
所以如果有同学最终顺利考上了研究生，就可以尽情地大喊：“I got in!（我考上了）”

pass an/the exam
这个表达非常地好理解，“考研上岸”实质上就是“通过了研究生考试”，所以也就可以说成“ pass an/ the exam ”了。

如果你想要通过测试，你就不需要努力学习了吗？
✍️例句：He studied hard in an attempt to pass the exam.
他努力学习试图通过考试。
还有些学霸们不仅是考过了，还是高分考过，那我们还可以用一个短语 pass with flying colors，指以出色的成绩通过考试、比赛。

be/get admitted to
admit 作动词，意思是“准许……加入；接纳”，通过了研究生考试也就意味着“被录取了”，所以“上岸”也可以用“ be/get admitted to ”来表示。

enroll at
enroll 作动词，有“招（生），吸收（成员）；注册（课程）”的意思。“上岸”的意思等同于“考入”，所以也可以用“ enroll at ”来表示。

研究生考试的全称就是全国研究生入学考试“ National postgraduate entrance examination ”，也可以直接说成研究生资格考试，也就是“postgraduate qualification exam”。
那么考研就可以直接用“take part in the national postgraduate entrance examination”来表达。

我正在为考研做准备。

保研
也有部分幸运的学霸是不需要参加全国研究生入学考试就能读研的，因为他们获得了保研资格。保研可以表达为“ postgraduate recommendation ”。
✍️例句：A senior university student said she had recently turned down a postgraduate recommendation from her university in Shanghai.
上海一所高校一名大四学生称，她最近刚刚自愿放弃了学校的保研资格。
03
初试/复试
要被录取为研究生，首先要通过国家研究生入学考试，也就是初试（qualifying examination / preliminary exam）。
在过线之后才能参加复试，可以说成 re-examination of NPEE（National postgraduate entrance examination） ,或者简单翻译成secondary examination，复试一般包括笔试（written examination）和口试（oral examination）或面试（interview）。
✍️例句：Lots of students are preparing for the re-examination of NPEE.

04
研究生类型
在录取之后，根据成绩的高低，又分为公费研究生（government-supported graduate student）和自费研究生（self-supporting graduate student）。部分研究生是边工作边学习，此类研究生即在职研究生（on-the-job postgraduate student）。

她非常优秀以至于成了公费研究生。
