终于到周五啦，而且明天不用加班！
既然不能 work overtime(加班)，那也就意味着不能 earn some overtime(赚点加班费)。没错，overtime 可以指“加班地”，也可以指“加班费”。
而除了 overtime 是加班费外，我们之前提到过，double time 虽然看起来是指双倍时间，但它的意思是“双倍工资”。double time 通常指因周末或法定假日加班而获得的双倍工资。不过，如果你 work double time，那么意思就是说你的工作时间是平时的两倍。
今天的“主角” time and a half 也与 overtime 有关，意思是“1.5倍工资”，通常也是因为加班而给的相当于平时一倍半的工资。
Some pay double time for overtime, some pay time and a half, and others do not pay for overtime.
有些人付双倍的加班费，有些人付1.5倍的加班费，还有一些人不付加班费。

half 这个单词挺有意思的，我们熟悉的它意思是“一半，半个”，是能够组成一个整体的两个相等或几乎相等的一部分；不过在口语中，half 还可以指“大量，许多”，这可就不一定只指一半了。

她邀请了很多人来参加聚会，但许多人都没有来。

而且，half 还有个意思是 only partly，也就是“部分地，在某种程度上”，比如：
