最近，付航的一句“passion”引发热潮，郑州大学生因passion夜骑开封爆火网络，但因安全隐患被暂停，借此聊聊passion这个词。
提到passion，自然想起罗素（Bertrand Russell）名篇 Three passions的开头：
Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind. These passions, like great winds, have blown me hither and thither, in a wayward course, over a deep ocean of anguish, reaching to the very verge of despair.
三种激情虽然简单，却异常强烈，它们统治着我的生命，那便是：对爱的渴望，对知识的追求，以及对人类苦难的难以承受的同情。这三种激情像变化莫测的狂风任意地把我刮来刮去，把我刮入痛苦的深海，到了绝望的边缘。
passion常见的意思是“激情，强烈情感”，英文释义为 a very strong feeling of love, hatred, anger, enthusiasm, etc. 。
passion 还可以表示对某事物的热爱，“酷爱；热衷的爱好（或活动等）”，英文释义为 a very strong feeling of liking sth; a hobby, an activity, etc. that you like very much 。这种情况下，可以替换interest等，高频搭配是passion for something。
She developed a passion for opera.
Music has always been his passion.
Music is a passion with him. 他对音乐情有独钟。
Her performance is full of passion and originality.
Everyone could see the passion in his approach to the work.
She spoke with passion about preserving the building.

“She gave love and passion to everyone, but José took away an important part of her,” Lucy Hsueh, a Taiwanese painter and one of her closest friends, said in a phone interview.

《史蒂夫·乔布斯传》作者沃尔特·艾萨克森（Walter Isaacson）曾说：
I think you have to work hard, but, you know, as I look at people, it wasn’t hard work that got Benjamin Franklin or Steve Jobs or Leonardo da Vinci where they were. It was just, sort of, a continuous curiosity about nature, a passion, a willingness to observe things. So, yes, I think for some people—over and over again practicing—and that makes you a very deep-in-one-field type of genius, but what I’m talking about is a genius that can cross many disciplines. And that’s gotta come from almost having attention deficit disorder, not from just hard persistence.
努力固然重要，但细察古今，无论是本杰明·富兰克林，还是史蒂夫·乔布斯，抑或是达芬奇，他们的成就并非仅靠勤奋。真正推动他们前行的，是对自然界永不停息的求知若渴，是一腔热血，是对万物保持敏锐观察的意愿。
诚然，有些人通过持之以恒的练习，最终成为某个领域的大师。但我所说的天才，是能够游刃有余地跨越多个学科的智者。这种天赋需要的不是一门心思的专注，反而更像是一种注意力分散的表现 —— 这绝非单纯靠埋头苦干就能达到的境界。
11月需要passion，人生需要passion，青春没有售价，但安全要和passion同在。
