get sth. out of sb.
表示to persuade or force someone to tell or give you something，从别人那里问出自己要的信息，可能是温和地套话，也可能是强势地逼问，单纯从这个短语看不出来具体的问话方式，所以比较通用，口语里用。
I can't believe I finally got the truth out of him!
真没想到我能从他嘴里问出真相！
You'll never get anything out of her if she doesn't trust you.
如果她不信任你，你永远也别想从她嘴里问出什么。
pump sb. for sth.
表示to try to get information from somebody by asking them a lot of questions，问很多问题以获取信息，是informal非正式用语。
pump /pʌmp/ 动词，最常用的意思是“用泵抽(水、空气等)”，在这里表示“盘问，问很多问题”。
I tried to pump him for information about their other contacts.
我盘问他，想要问出其他联系人的信息。
Stop pumping me for information; I'm not going to say anything.
别再逼问我了，我什么都不会说的。
fish for sth.
表示to subtly or indirectly try to get information or compliments from someone，委婉或拐弯抹角地打听消息。
这个短语也可以表示通过自谦/自贬等方式引导别人夸赞自己，fish for compliments，比如说语文考了85分然后说自己考砸了，让别人说出“但是你数学和英语都考了满分啊，总分全班第一还不够厉害吗”。
He kept fishing for information about my plans for the weekend.
他一直拐着弯打听我周末的计划。
He was fishing for information about my income, but I didn't tell him much.

She's always fishing for compliments about her looks.

coax sth. out of sb.
表示to gently persuade someone to tell you something or give you something，通过示好或者劝说等温和的方式哄劝别人说出一开始不愿意告诉你的话。
coax /kəʊks/ 及物动词，表示“哄劝，劝诱”，coax sth. out of sb.也可以说成coax sb. into telling you sth.，哄劝某人告诉你某事。
He has some information I want, so I'm going to try to coax it out of him over a drink.
他知道些我想要的信息，所以我打算和他去喝酒，套套他的话。
It took a while, but I finally coaxed him into telling me what happened.
虽然花了点时间，但我最终还是哄他告诉了我发生了什么。
prise sth. from/out of sb.
表示to get something from someone with difficulty, especially information or money，费了很大劲才从某人那里获得某物，一般是信息或者是钱，这个短语的侧重点在于“难，费劲，对方不愿意说”，可能要用追问或逼问等强势的方式问话。
prise /praɪz/ 动词，表示“撬开/撬掉某物”，美式英语里写成prize。
She's so secretive - you'll have a hard time prising any information out of her.
她什么话都不对人说，你很难从她嘴里问出任何信息。secretive /ˈsiːkrətɪv/ 形容词，表示不对人表达自己的看法和情绪，思想和情感不外露的。
I had to prise the answer out of her when I asked where she had been.
我费了好大劲才从她嘴里问出来她去了哪里。
elicit sth. from sb.
表示to get information or a reaction from somebody, often with difficulty，获取信息，或者让人对某事产生情绪、做出反应，是这一期里最正式专业的表达，一般用于正式场合或者学术交流等，不用于日常口语。
elicit /ɪˈlɪsɪt/ 动词，formal，表示to get (information or reaction)。
The investigator managed to elicit key details from the witness.
调查员成功地从证人口中问出了关键细节。
I could elicit no response from her.
