给自己制造困难，用比较级的话就是让本来就不容易的事情变得更难了，难上加难。
You're making it hard for yourself by leaving everything to the last minute.
你总是把事情留到最后一刻才做，给自己增加难度。
Why do you always make things so hard for yourself? You could just ask for help.
你为什么总是让自己那么难做呢？你可以直接找人帮忙的。

·02 没事找事·
Sb is asking/looking for trouble if sb does sth.
Sb is asking/looking for trouble by doing sth.
Doing sth. is asking/looking for trouble.
ask/look for trouble表示to do things that are likely to cause problems or difficulties for yourself，做一些可能会给自己招来麻烦或困难的事。这两个短语经常用进行时态。
If you don't change that broken lock on your front door, you're asking for trouble.
你门上那把坏掉的锁再不换掉的话，就是在给自己找事儿。
He's looking for trouble by parking in that no-parking zone.
他把车停在禁停区就是给自己找麻烦。
Bad-mouthing your boss at work is asking for trouble. Sooner or later, someone will tell him.
上班说老板坏话就是给自己挖坑，迟早有人会告诉他的。
除了表示给自己找麻烦，ask/look for trouble也可以表示to behave in a way that is likely to provoke an argument or fight，故意惹事，挑衅别人，挑起争吵和冲突。
He was making fun of everyone at the bar, and I could tell he was looking for trouble.
他在酒吧里取笑每个人，一看就知道他想搞事。
If you keep staring at that guy, you're really asking for trouble.
你再盯着那家伙看，就是在给自己找事儿。
