·1. pays (for) sth·
pay /peɪ/ 是表示“付钱”最常用的单词，口语书面都能用，口语里尤其常用。
要不要加for：pay+费用，这里费用可以是具体数字，也可以是各种费用的具体名称，比如支出cost，学费tuition，税tax，房租rent。pay for+花钱买的东西，比如ticket，meal，service。
例：The company will pay for your flight to the UK.
去英国的机票公司会报销。
例：Relax, we will pay all your transportation costs for this training.
放心吧，这次培训的所有交通费我们会报销。
·2. cover sth·
/ˈkʌvə(r)/ 动词，最基本的意思是“覆盖，涵盖”，在钱的语境里可以表示to be or provide enough money for something，提供做某事的钱，支付做某事的开销，可以用人或者物(比如项目资金、保险等)做主语。
例：Your parents will have to cover your tuition fees.
你父母得支付你的学费。
例：Don't worry. The research funds will cover your travel expenses.
别担心，研究基金能报销你的差旅费。
例：If you're thinking about plastic surgery, just know you'll have to pay for it yourself. Insurance won't cover it.

expense /ɪkˈspens/ 名词，表示the money that you spend on something，各种花费开销。它的复数形式expenses指money that you spend while you are working and that your employer will pay back to you later，在工作中花的钱，后边公司会报销的开支。
例：She was invited to speak at the conference, and the company will cover all her expenses.
她受邀去会议上做讲话，公司将承担她的所有费用。
do sth on expenses表示using money that will be paid back by your employer，公费做某事，花的钱后边会报销。
例：He took the client out to lunch on expenses.
他公费请客户吃饭。
财务或者商务英语还有个短语是expense account，公款支付账户，公费账户，公司给员工提供的用来支付公务开销的钱。
例：I can put this lunch on my expense account.

/riːəmˈbɜːs/ 动词，表示to pay back money to someone who has spent it for you or lost it because of you，某人因为你的原因花了钱或者损失了钱，你要还给他们，偿付，报销。这个词是正式用语，用于书面或者正式场合，日常口语用pay或者cover就好。
结构是reimburse sth，偿付/报销各种费用开支；reimburse sb (for sth)，偿付/报销某人为某事花的钱。
例：We'll reimburse all your travel and accommodation expenses, so don't forget to keep your receipts.
我们将报销您的所有差旅和住宿费用，所以记得保留收据。
例：Pay for the hotel room when you leave, and the company will reimburse you later.
退房的时候付房费，后边公司会给你报销的。
名词是reimbursement /ˌriːɪmˈbɜːsmənt/，同样是很正式的单词，表示the act of paying back money to somebody which they have spent or lost; the amount that is paid back，偿付/报销这个举动，或者偿付/报销的钱、款项。
