·1. 纯音乐：instrumental music·
instrument /ˈɪnstrəmənt/ 名词，“乐器”，也可以写成musical instrument。
例：Do you play any instruments?
你会什么乐器吗？
instrumental /ˌɪnstrəˈmentl/ 形容词，表示involving only musical instruments, and no singing，只有乐器的声音，没有人声的，instrumental也可以用作名词，表示instrumental music，纯音乐。
一首纯音乐：
an instrumental
an instrumental piece
a piece of instrumental music (music不可数，不说an instrumental music)
例：I always listen to soothing instrumental music before bed; it helps me relax after a long day.
我在睡前总会听一些舒缓的纯音乐，这能让我在忙碌了一天之后放松下来。soothing /'suːðɪŋ/ 形容词， making someone feel calmer and less anxious, upset, or angry，让人平静的，减轻人的烦躁不安的。
例：I prefer the instrumental version of the song; the original has some of the most cringeworthy lyrics I've ever heard.
我喜欢这首歌的纯音乐版；原版的歌词是我听过的最尴尬的歌词之一。
cringe /krɪndʒ/ 动词，表示to feel very embarrassed, and often show this by a physical movement or expression，感到特别尴尬并且身体做出反应，比如说尴尬到表情有点扭曲、脚趾抠地等都是cringe。
cringeworthy /'krɪndʒwɜːði/ 形容词，表示making you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable，making you cringe，让人特别尴尬、特别不舒服的。
例：I have a playlist on my music app that has only instrumentals.
我的听歌App上边有个歌单，里边都是纯音乐。
·2. K歌伴奏：karaoke version·
karaoke /ˌkæri'əʊki/ 一个起源于日语的名词，a type of entertainment in which a machine plays only the music of popular songs so that people can sing the words themselves，“卡拉OK”。
中文说“去唱K”的K就是karaoke的缩写，KTV是karaoke television的缩写，不过KTV这个叫法主要是我们国内在用，在国外可以说a karaoke bar/club/lounge /laʊndʒ/，说KTV别人可能听不懂。
一首歌里边通常有instrumental的部分 (乐器的声音)，以及人声演唱的声音，人声演唱部分英语叫vocal /'vəʊkl/，常用复数形式vocals。
KTV里边的歌曲伴奏是去掉了歌手的声音，remove the main vocals，只保留了伴奏，这种伴奏曲子可以叫the karaoke version of a song。
例：We went to a karaoke bar yesterday.
我们昨天去了KTV。
例：Do you know where I can download karaoke versions of songs for free? I want to do karaoke at home.
