Xiaohong：That's an alligator gar. It's a giant monster fish found in Ruzhou, a city of Pingdingshan, Henan Province. The fish was about 80cm with a pointed mouth and long teeth. And the number of small fish in the lake began to decrease.
小红：那是鳄雀鳝。这是一种在河南省平顶山市汝州发现的巨型怪兽鱼。这条鱼长约80厘米，嘴尖，牙齿很长。湖中小鱼的数量开始减少。
Xiaohua：That's shocking! That must be an alien species. Right?
小华：这是令人震惊的!那一定是外来物种。对吧?
Xiaohong：I don't know, but it originates in North and Central America.

An alligator gar, an invasive alien species, was found in Ruzhou, Henan Province, which is a high-risk alien creature called Killer in Water. It has a violent temperament and is good at attacking. In a hungry state, one bite can swallow a big fish of 40cm.
河南汝州发现了一种名为“水中杀手”的外来入侵物种——鳄雀鳝。它性情暴烈，善于攻击。在饥饿的状态下，一口就能吞下一条40厘米长的大鱼。
The local government has been pumping water for nearly a month to catch the strange fish in the lake, but in vain. Experts make it clear that they hope people stay away from such an alien species.

Even though stories of alligator gar attacking people and dramatizations in popular television shows have given these giants a bad rap, there are no confirmed attacks on people. The only time alligator gar pose danger to people is when anglers try to land and handle these large, powerful fish. However, alligator gar continue to be feared by many.
