Let's talk about “Women Life Freedom”in today’s program.

Xiaohong:How's business?
Xiaobo:It was great thanks to your proposal. Did you watch the opening match against England?
Xiaohong:No. I'm not a fan of football actually. What happened?
Xiaobo:Iran players refused to sing the national anthem before facing England at World Cup opener. Some fans held up signs saying "Women, Life, Freedom". I just didn't know what to do.
Xiaohong:Well, I read this piece of news this morning that one group of Iran fans produced a flag in the stands which read "Women, Life, Freedom".
Xiaobo:What does that mean?
Xiaohong:It's a chain reaction of protests because hundreds of protesters have died in Tehran and other cities following the death in morality police custody of Mahsa Amini two months ago.
Xiaobo:What did they do to her?
Xiaohong:The 22-year-old woman died in a prison having been arrested for not wearing her hijab correctly.
Xiaobo:So it was right for players to speak up in support of those who are calling for change.
Xiaohong:Yes. Did you see anger in the crowd yesterday?
Xiaobo:Yes. All the fans expressed their desires.
Xiaohong:Thing is "Do you follow the crowd on mass media?”

Mini-talk
The Brentford player said of feeling a responsibility to stand up and back the protesters. "Clearly a change needs to come and it's already been going on for so long. We all want to change. It's the right thing to do with pressure or without pressure. But something has to change and this has been going on for too long."
Speaking of changes, my thinking is to stop worrying about things you can't change. It's easier to change yourself than to change the world. There is no sense in wanting or expecting the world to change to meet my desires and abilities. Instead, it's my responsibility to change, learn, train, practice and prepare better so that I'm able to go the distance and meet the demands of the world around me.
It may sound difficult or uncomfortable but it really is the only way.
