小华：小红，我在超市买了一些江中集团的猴姑饼干，对你的胃很健康哦。
Xiaohong：Wow, I've got some too. Delicious!

Xiaohua：What! They are different brands!
小华：什么！他们是两个品牌！
Xiaohong：The tort suit has become the hotspot online.
小红：侵权案已经成为了网络热点啊。
Xiaohua：So, this is the so-called "Shanzhai Culture".
小华：所以，这就是所谓的山寨文化吗？
Xiaohong：What does that mean?
小红：什么意思？
Xiaohua：Well, “Shanzhai” means a business model based on producing fake or pirated products.
小华：嗯，山寨是基于生产假货或盗版的商业模式。
Xiaohong：Some people say we are a “copycat nation”. Do you agree？
小红：有人说我们是“山寨王国”。你同意吗？
Xiaohua：Well, kinda. For example, my friend has a fake LV bag, yes, not a real one.
小华：嗯，有点。举个例子，我朋友有个假的LV包包。
Xiaohong：Yes. It reminds me of my friend, too. His watch is a knockoff.
小红：对，这提醒我了，我朋友的手表也是假货（廉价仿制品）。
Xiaohua：(Laugh) Let's go for a spoof.
小华：哈哈哈，我们去看仿剧（山寨版艺术品）吧。
Xiaohong：What does that mean？
小红：什么意思？
Xiaohua：It means someone will imitate the movie's style, but in a humorous or sarcastic way.
小华：仿剧是以幽默或讽刺的方式来模仿电影风格的一种剧。
Xiaohong：That's so funny.
小红：太逗了。

Well, the copycat approach is known as Shanzhai, which originally used to describe a bandit stronghold outside government control. In today's slang, it refers to businesses based on fake or pirated products.
这种模仿的方式被称为“山寨”，最初用来形容不受政府控制的强盗据点。在今天的俚语中，它指的是基于假冒或盗版产品的企业。
It's reported that China is the top distributor of fake shoes, clothing, electronics, and other goods. Actually, pirated goods are considered illegal and are against international intellectual property laws. But the market for counterfeit goods continues to thrive.
有报道说中国是假冒鞋子、服装、电子产品和其他商品的最大经销商。事实上，盗版商品被认为是非法的，违反了国际知识产权法。但假货市场仍在蓬勃发展。
If you are interested in any kind of electronics, from cell phones to high-tech drones, the capital of Shanzhai is where you can go. The workers there are often extremely talented. They can assemble even a fully functional android if needed.
如果你对任何一种电子产品感兴趣，从手机到高科技无人机，你可以去“山寨之都”（深圳）。那里的工人往往非常有才华。如果需要，他们甚至可以组装一个功能齐全的安卓系统。
